This lock is amazing. Small enough to put in your compartment on your motorcycle. You can tell it’s made of metal, not aluminum. And the cable is perfect so lock up another helmet or jacket

Update, don't buy junk!Manufacturer reply to my inquiry was an insult!Sad AMAZON doesn't manage companies selling junk better.Warning-Just received today. Followed instruction exactly to change combination. Now lock won't open. Contacted manufacturer. Will see if they respond.

If you have a traditional D ring helmet any of the T bar’s available will work if you need an extension. However, if your helmet is of the micro ratchet variety you can have issues as not all are of the same width. With a bit of deburring I got a T bar I already owned to (barely) fit my 3/4 helmet micro ratchet (Nolan) but my high end Japanese made modular with a slightly smaller micro ratchet is a no-go with that existing chromed T bar.While you can run a cable through a full face or modular helmet, and lock it that way, my motorcycle has 2 very handy curved steel helmet holders under the passenger seat and with D rings everything works as designed by very intelligent people. While micro ratchets are handy I still have no issues with strapping on a helmet with a D ring but being stuck with these devices on the helmet brands I prefer I need a T bar extension in order to use the under seat locks. The T bar included in this set is slightly thinner and more narrow than the ones I had and slips through both micro ratchets with ease.While I may not often use the caribeaner lock it will come in handy if I have items strapped to the passenger seat. I just wish you could buy this particular T bar separately, but at $20 for the set it is worth it to get my simple locking option back. Helmets are too expensive to leave hanging on the bars.The caribeaner is easy to program to the 4-digit combo you want and seems well made. The numbers are large and easy to read for old eyes. The spiral coiled wire included seems designed to keep honest people honest as I think it could be cut fairly easy, but I’m not going to test that willingly. Overall I am very happy with this helmet locking set up and happily recommend this to others.

I used this guy to secure my seat/rack/tire on my bike. I added another cable to reach. It worked fine but it looked like hell, so I switched to two smaller cable locks, one in front, one in back. Both solutions work pretty well.
