This is a nice little device for helping to slow down a fast eater. It scoots around a little while in use, but I feel like that's part of the fun for the kitty. One of my cats used to eat so fast that she would sometimes throw up afterward, but this has helped reduce the portion of food and the speed at which she eats, and now we have no issues with throwing up.

I use one to my cat and the other for my dog. Works for my dog vs paying a higher price for the dog version. I mix yogurt, yummers and water then freeze.

My cat eats really fast and I got this to slow him down. He eats several small meals a day and I use this once a day. He seems to like it and licks at it for a long time. He does not chew on it. I take it away from him as soon as he's done and wash it immediately. Good water pressure gets any pieces that are stuck. I keep it in the refrigerator when not using. It's holding up very well, no issues with stains or sturdiness. He eats Blue Buffalo wet food.

Great for slowing down my cat from eating too fast and then running to eat his brother’s food, from his dish. Works best if you spray the dish, when done, with kitchen sprayer, for cleaning.

I have three cats. One is not highly food motivated and eats very slowly. One eats normal. And one gobbles down everything in sight like she just stepped out of the desert after being stranded for a week. She will rush through her plate so she can try and steal from her slower older sister and we couldn't figure out how to slower her down. The other normal eater will not rush, but if she finishes first she will also go nosing around her older sister to see if she can get a bit more.We got these to try and solve the issue. The little gavone gets the green one, with the more intricate designs, and it takes her more than twice as long to eat as it does with a regular bowl. The one who eats normally uses the orange fish dish, which has less intricate designs. It slows her down a bit too. The older cat can now finish at her leisure and walk off to groom her whiskers before the other two are done.They're cute, look pretty durable, and are very easy to clean.

I absolutely love these lick mats. I got them for my first cat as a kitten for when he got neutered. Knowing he wouldn't be able to lick himself for a week but he could still get the sense of it with a treat or food and a lick mat.I then started using the mats with my new kitten who eats faster that my cat. I love that they are easy to use and easy to clean. In the summer, I'll mix a churu with some water, pour it into the lick mat and freeze it so my cats have a cool treat on a hot day. I highly recommend especially for indoor cat owners!

I bought this pair for my Little Lord Scarf and Barf in mind, and they seem to perform reasonably well. However, they're a royal pain to clean. (They're not advertised as dishwasher safe, but I imagine that if you omit the final drying cycle, they'll be fine.) They seem to function best with paté in mind. Unfortunately my cat isn't thrilled about trying to dig out food from the tiny quadrants in Casper, and does better with the semicircular scales of Felix. (Be forewarned that you have to identify the two by patterns, not by colors: for instance, my Casper is green, and I have a neighbor with an orange Casper.) So they may be the perfect thing for your cat, but for mine they're not much of a step up from spreading out wet food over a salad plate.

I am confident that Lickimat will eventually make a good lick mat for cats, and this one is half way there. It cleans easily, does not retain stains from food (as a different brand did), it slows down kitty's eating enough so that she does not scarf and barf.... BUT... It needs better edges. My cat always pushes chunks of her wet food onto the floor as she licks the mat. Also, it is a little too floppy. I put cat food on it, and as I bring it to her feeding spot, if I'm not holding it just right, it flops downward towards the floor, spilling the food. It is SO CLOSE to being well made that it is frustrating Lickimat didn't go the extra step to fix those issues.

The design of this food mat is great. This slowed down my faster eater well, which stops her from stealing her sister's food. Easy to clean. I recommend using gravy wet food instead of jelly as it's easier to spread on the mat.

Ho un gatto esotico con il muso schiacciato da una portiera ed è faticoso trovare delle ciotole adatte. Questa era piatta e in gomma e speravo mi evitasse lo spargimento di croccantini per casa. L'ho comprata anche perché l'idea alla base è davvero interessante ma, il mio gatto non era dello stesso parere. Forse non ha apprezzato il materiale gommoso e a dire il vero neanche io perché non è lavabile in lavastoviglie. Peccato davvero perché avevo alte aspettative.

I ordered two items and both were sticky and I can see my fingerprints on it,... which I think it is not very hygienic for my cats to lick on it. The fishes looks cute though.

I noticed these for dogs first and was very happy to see they had them for cats. This has definitely slowed down my hungry kitty’s eating. He used to chow down so fast that he’d get hiccups. It’s much better now. I mainly use the green one because it’s easier to spread wet food on it. The blue seems it would be easier for kibbles.
