This is the one of the first slow feeder bowls I've purchased ever. I was recommended to buy one for my Bernese Mountain Dog, who loves food and will eat it too fast. I wanted to avoid plastic bowls. This one caught my eye. I thought there was a possibility that it might be too small, but turns out it's the perfect size for holding my dog's food: 1 cup of dry kibble, 1/4 cup bone broth, couple tablespoons of pumpkin puree or vegetables. The food sits within the grooves without peeking above the rim of the bowl. Also love that this bowl comes with little bumpers so the bowl doesn't slide around.

This green rose ceramic dog bowl slow feeder is so cute! I got it as a back up bowl for a stand I ordered that included another ceramic bowl. I wanted a second one in case the original was in the dishwasher or broke. I think that this bowl is so cute, it might become the primary bowl! It is different from my other ceramic bowls in that it has more of a matte finish, rather than a shiny glaze. I like it!

My cat used to eat his food too fast and vomit often. I started using bowls like this one for him and now he has to use his paw to fish out the dry food nuggets. He eats them slowly, and seldom vomits. I am sure, as for a dog, that eating the food in a more challenging manner is also good for his brain/stimulation.I have two other bowls that I alternate and will add this one to the rotation. It is super pretty and even just looking at it is a pleasure. Nice plus: it came with four tiny adhesive 'feet' to stick to the bottom to help prevent slipping. As for using this with a dog, I've also rotated some of my similar bowls with my dog. The design is too shallow to truly slow her down. It helps a little, but her tongue is so big that she can just scoop up the dry kibble as per normal and just needs a little extra time to lick up the wet food that is mixed in. I find this design of bowl more effective for a cat.

This slow feeder is not only beautiful, it really slows our girls feeding time down, which is great for digestion!

This bowl is good quality and very thick and heavy. The downside is that the petal dividers inside, which are necessary to make this a slow feeder bowl, are not very tall. With 1 large cup of dog food scooped in this bowl, the food sits over the top of the petal dividers and thus this isn't a very effective slow feeder until the dog gets the food near the bottom of the bowl.

The walls are higher than some cat feeders at the sides but the interior ones are shorter so my kitten can get to the food. This slowed down my greedy kitten. Goes through dishwasher fine. It is larger than some of the ones marketed to cats, the sides are bit higher than ideal, as sometimes cats get whisker fatigue from them rubbing on the edges.

This dog bowl is perfect for the dog that needs to slow down their eating. It allows them to slow down while eating their full meal. It is easy to clean and store.
