We have mosquitos that hang around our front door and patio door, just flying near the glass, poised and ready to fly in when we open those doors to get a package, let the dog out, etc. It became a hassle to try and quickly-as-possible open and shut the door to minimize the # of intruders.I figured, "Why live like this?" and sprung for two of these guys.Things I love:1) Uses LEDs for lighting to reduce power consumption and extend light lifetime2) Waterproof enough that it can stand up to rain3) Reasonably long power cord4) Comes with cleaning brush5) Lightweight6) Safety cage so our dog doesn't sniff it and get zapped7) Easily removable bottom to clean out dead bugsIt's neither attractive nor unattractive, but functional and aesthetically appropriate. While the casing is light plastic and will likely not weather great if exposed to sun, it's again appropriate given its likely lifetime. If this lasts more than 3 years, I'd consider it well done. The lights and electrical portions seem high quality, and that's where the business takes place, so money was spent in the right places.This is our first day using it, and the light attracts more bugs at night than during the day, so we'll see if we're mostly bug-free tomorrow after these things do their work all night.But I think it's a great little device, and very affordable for what you get. Works good. We use it indoors for dirt gnats that come from the house plants. Nothing escapes this trap. It makes a snap noise and the gnats basically explode. Seriously noting left of them.

This zapper works great for killing insects big and small. Yes, it is a bit loud when it zaps but all shock zappers are as that is the nature of the electric shock process.The only issue we had with it was that it seems to attract more bugs into the area than we had without it. So ultimately, we have stopped using it unless the insects are being extra pesky in the first place. Because by leaving it run when bugs are light, the zapper draws more in from the area. Yes, it kills those that go to the light but the over all bug issue in the general area got much worse. This is not a problem with this device, it is just the nature of the light used to draw bugs to the zapper in the first place. So now, it is only switched on when there is already a bug issue in the area.All in all, still a great device.

I purchased this zapper past summer (2024). We love to sit out on the back porch, but the bugs and flying pest were getting to be too much. I looked on the Amazon website and found this product. We had such relief from the flying bugs and pests. It really works well. I couldn't believe how many bugs that were caught and zapped each night. It was simple to clean out and ready each evening for the next round of bugs to zap. The purchase price was reasonable.

Huge mosquito problem in California. Paid exterminators with poor or no results. Got 3 of these last year, front door, back door, and garage, and there were no more mosquitos!!! Not one bite all summer. The light went out in one of them after 6 months use, and the company honored their warranty and sent us a new one. I think that’s as good as it gets!

I leave this on sometimes for fun to murder mosquitos. Jokes aside it does work very well for smaller flys.

En un solo día bajó en 80% la cantidad de mosquitos en mi jardín. Truena cada vez que mata a un mosquito. No sirve para insectos grandes como moscas. Debe operar en oscuridad para mejores resultados

Wir haben etwas gesucht, um lästige Mücken auf der Terasse loszuwerden.Haben sehr gute Erfahrungen mit dieser UV-Lampe gemacht. Lediglich das knallende Geräusch, welches beim Hineinfliegen eines Insektes entsteht, ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig…. Da kann man sich schon einigermaßen erschrecken!

Dieser Moskito-, Fliegen-, Mottenfänger funktioniert prima, hat ein sparsames, Insekten anlockendes schönes UV-Licht und eine saftige Hochspannung, das die Plagegeister mit Knall nahezu eliminiert!Bei mir ist der Tag u. Nacht das ganze Jahr über in Betrieb (Küche u. Wohnzimmer je ein Gerät), da es auch in der kalten Jahreszeit vereinzelt fliegende Schädlinge gibt.Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Well, this zapper does it! The purple led lights dare I say are so pretty! The zapper doesn't heat up and is very light in weight. Don't be fooled by the sweet soft glow because this zapper shocks the life out of intimacy that dates to fly into it.It truly sounds like a shotgun and I felt the precussion, it scared the heck out of me the first few times I heard kill those flies!I look forward to taking this to my full time house for more bug zapping. This may mean that I will not have to keep my fly swatter or even my stinky environmentally safe bug spray. I will upload a video of it in action soon. The price was great and I received it overnight.Did I mention that it runs on led lights ? That means it is pretty inexpensive to use!UPDATE: I love this zapper so much, I purchased one for my parents and they love it too! The light is soft enough that it doesn't blast your retinas but then again, works nicely as a night light. Yes, it works on gnats but to really help attract them en masse - place a home-made cider vinegar trap next to it! You will hear them pop all night!

Bought 2 at a time. They both work very well! Just a couple things I've noticed with them is that they have a loud zapping noise (much louder than my neighbors bug-zapper) but they both really do an excellent job at getting rid of the bugs, and if not under proper cover on back porch then when it rains it may splash up triggering continuous zapping while raining...I've moved it before and may have to relocate it again. Don't have this issue with other on fully covered front porch. Overall, an EXCELLENT product! THANK YOU!

It worked great for about 6 months, but then the top 50% of the light stopped working. Still zaps bugs, smaller ones. Still giving 4 stars, cause still does the job, but not perfect. Great for fruit flys and mosquitoes, but bigger flys seem to survive.
