Purchased to replace 7 open LEDs in a 36 LED bullet camera array consisting of 6 strings of 6 LEDs each running at about 1.444 volts or so. The new match the original LEDs operating voltages. The original camera LEDs lasted about 6 years.During burn-in, more LEDs failed, some or most of which were the new ones. Last night, I replaced the bad LEDs, and started burn-in. This morning 2 strings are out, meaning 2 more LEDs have failed. The web page description states: "Power: 0.015 W ... Voltage ... 1.4-1.6V 850nm ... Forward current: 20 ma". These specs were not exceeded. No operating temperature range is given, but they should be suitable for use in IR arrays for night vision, etc., where the temperatures can get fairly warm. Before replacing any more LEDs, I will have to test and burn them in at the operating current and again at the specified 20 mA current. What a nuisance! I don't know if I can keep these or not. If I can find some good ones, maybe I will to avoid the hassle of returns and re-ordering from a reputable supplier. On the other hand, the testing is also a hassle, but I can do it now or soon, and I want to get this camera back up and running.
