The aerator is junk. I made it 40' on my first row before the head snapped

Holy cow this thing can pull weeds. And it helps me get the root of the weeds out of our small front garden so they don't pop up again. For years I've been having an ongoing battle between spring onions (they're the tiny little onions), dandelions, maple trees, clover and tall grass in the garden. I pull them out, they grow back. Repeat all year.Well, I went out with this tool and it was bye bye weeds. This thing is a workhorse. There was a bit of a learning curve as to how exactly to use it but once I got it, I was unstoppable. I need to get one of these for both my mom and sister. It's super sturdy, easy to use, feels good in my hand, isn't too heavy or too light and I'd say it's worth every penny if it keeps the weeds down in my garden. This is one of those 'work smarter, not harder' tools that I didn't know I needed. But now that I have it, I won't weed without it.

While this weed puller does indeed pull weeds, getting it working every time is futile. Stab, step, pull down, maybe you got it. Then you have to clean it out if it doesn't slide out. I have very wet clay soil, and everything seems to stick. While it can be easier for long weeding sessions, this is better for small to medium shallow weeds, not your big honkin' dandelions with 6-12" tap roots. It works, but I would not say it has been easy to use, easy to learn to use, nor particularly effective at getting all the weeds out.But I do appreciate it as a tool in my arsenal against weeds.

This thing is fantastic! It makes quick work of stubborn weeds, quickly and easily removing them from the surrounding soil with as little disruption as possible. I very much like it for tight spaces between well established flowers in my garden - I can very easily pick out just the weed without disturbing anything else. The handle is comfortable, although maybe a little on the large side, but that made it so that it was comfortable for the hubby as well, so I think it's fairly good in terms of size, and I think most folks would likely find it comfortable as well. I think there are less expensive options, but if you spend a lot of time in your garden, or need something that took ergonomics in mind, this is probably worth the extra couple of dollars.

I wish I had photos/video of the tool in action but that was hard for me to juggle my cameraphone while I needed hands for this hand weeding tool! As soon as I can get a friend to help document I'll have to update this review with some footage... At any rate, this tool is pretty solid & sturdy, easy to grip. The tool has a unique shape - the metal part of the tool is kinda like a snake - the end is a two pronged tongue-like poker while the rest of the body flares down at a V (it looks wider as it creates a stable base for a pivot point) and shapes back up and connects to the handle. I like that I can use the bottom of the pivot point of the hand weeding tool to push down on the handle like a lever, while the pointed ends of the tool (careful, these are sharp!) worked nicely in jabbing and sticking into the thick part of the root of the weed that I needed to pull out. This tool totally spares the inflamed elbow tendonitis I got from hand pulling weeds during the summer. I wish there was one of these that could pull multiple roots out at the same time! Highly recommend for small gardening applications.

I find the erroneous weed here or there in my garden to be quite an eyesore! And having to pull out weeds by hand is not easy at all. I find that only when the soil is wet that weeds can be pulled out, but who wants to wait until after the rain or purposely watering weeds just to make them easier to pull out?I've been wanting to get a hand weed puller for awhile now, and this handy handheld weed puller is fairly easy to use. Bear in mind though, that you have to really push it into the base of the V-shaped top part to get a better grip of your weed. I've been using this for mainly very basic weeding as I don't think it'll be strong enough for the really tough weeds. The handle is comfortable enough with the rubber grip and it's long enough for most hands to use. This tool is definitely a must-have for gardeners and anyone who wants to create a healthy garden.
