Definitely for children/those with smaller laps. I purchased this so I could use my iPad keyboard more effectively from the couch and bed. It has a nice thick handle that can be hung on a hook making storage options easy. I purchased the rainbow one and the image is just slightest bit pixelated in some areas, like the image was maybe stretched just a bit too far. The cushion is comfortable and light on my lap. I use this item sparingly but so far in a household with two cats this has held up pretty well, no scratches, color is still vibrant. Be sure to measure before purchasing.

I needed a small lap desk for the bedroom for when I'm writing in bed. I use a paper tablet called the Remarkable 2, and I sometimes sit in bed to write at night. This product exceeded my expectations. First off, the lap part uses tiny beads or beans, so it does contour to my legs well without being too hot. It features two rows of these, so there's a lot of space for airflow. Second, there is a handle on the front for easy carrying. I can carry it with the handle while holding my phone and my tablet without worrying I will drop everything. Third, the front lap piece has a lot of space so I can clip my book light to the desk instead of having to clip it to the Remarkable.One thing-it's glossy and shiny, so it might look like things slide on it. They don't. My tablet does not slide around on it. Neither does my laptop. It's very well-made, and I'm very happy with it. It's also attractive and kind of girlie, so I don't have to worry about my husband Bogarting it.

I bought the blue lap desk with the uplifting phrase and I'm impressed!I have to have sturdy lap desks because I've lost so many through the years from my very well-rounded kitties crawling up, putting all their weight on one paw, stepping down on the lap desk, and the desk breaking. This lap desk top is very sturdy and it is not possible for my cat to do this with how this one is made.Also, in the past to get a sturdy lap desk, it weighed quite a bit. Not true at all anymore. This one is incredibly light weight which makes it more comfortable to use - I work many days out of my house so I can use my lap desk for 8 to 12 hours in a day.And finally, I saw pictures posted by other people who bought the exact one I bought (blue with uplifting words) which showed the sides were all messed up. Mine came in pristine condition and looks beautiul.I think it's a great purchase!

I appreciate the light weight of this little lapdesk and the carry-handle. It is comfortable to use for my macbook. I would prefer that it be a bit wider to accommodate a mouse, but that's OK.

I have a very small desk in my home office that is already completely full with my monitors, keyboard, and mouse. However, I often need to physically write or sign documents for my job, so I needed basically an extra desk I could put on my lap to do this. This little lap desk is perfect for my needs!I made sure to get a large size to accommodate all documents I need, such as full-sized paper and my large hardcover planner. This fits all documents I've had to deal with so far! The pink color with the white flowers is cute and matches my pink/pastel theme for my office. The cushion is very comfortable and doesn't affect how sturdy the desk itself feels. I'm short and tend to sit with my legs up on the chair, so I use this cross-legged, but I'm sure it would work the same if your feet were on the floor. I also only keep it on my lap when I need to use it, so it is nice that it is very easy to set on any nearby surface.I haven't used this with a laptop, but I can say that it is great for writing and I definitely recommend it!
