This tool is so much easier to use than a C-clamp. It's a time and effort saver when replacing brake pads. I have used it on both my car and my wife's, and it worked flawlessly on both jobs.

This is a simple, basic tool that many sellers are making too simple. This brand is made with a very heavy duty screw and has a real swivel pad, like a good quality C-clamp. Cost of the others have a flat washer held in place by peening over the end of the fine thread drive screw. I doubt that style will last very long. I expect this brand to last "forever".

Truly affordable and very well built. This is a whole lot easier to use and not as bulky like a c-clamp. I'm glad I got this as I used this on a 2011 Nissan Altima front brakes and had no issues as the threads on this is smooth when turning to compress the piston slowly back.

Nice brake piston retractor. Easy to use, light and strong. I would have given it a 5 star rating except that it didn't come with a plate wide enough to capture both pistons in a twin piston brake caliper. Please advise in your description to buy two in that event.Handy little device though for brake piston retraction

This is a legit tool, but some cheap Amazon thing I was thinking it might be. This brake piston compressor has a 10mm attachment on the end so you can really crank down on it with a 1/2" or 3/4" drive and get that stuck piston moving. Use some brake lube on the threads before you start and you're in business. The flat bar is very heavy and thick and the cup on the end spins nicely. Wish I'd bought this a long time ago instead of always just replacing a stuck caliper. Happy to have it now.
