Prior to this switcher I had one that seemed like it would be great. But... I had intermittent issues with connectivity. That old one would disconnect if a breeze hit it in the right direction. And once it started it would go on and off and on and off and... etc.So... Needless to say, I was warry about this one. It seems like that disconnection problem is one shared across MANY of these types of devices. However, so far, this is working flawlessly!I'm still skeptical, since I've seen plenty of listings where it took a month or so before it started having the dreaded issue. But, I'm holding out hope that this will be effective for some time to come.Only time will tell.As for right now though, I will say, this was a breeze to set up. Everything goes together nicely. The materials used make it feel like it's actually a good product. Plenty of these are cheap with the materials and it shows. This one is sleek, it has markings for each connection that are perfectly easy to read, but not so much that it's obtrusive.Overall, I'd say this is exactly what the listing said it was, if not even better.Should anything go awry in the future I'll be sure to come back and update. But as for now, this is a fantastic choice if its specs suit your needs.I highly recommend.

I found this to be a very helpful device for controlling two computers to one monitor in my home office. The switch box itself seems to be solid with a very good quality build. All connections are tight with high quality connection fittings that are all perfectly flush with edge of switch box. The box is configured in a very good design for cable routing, computer inputs and monitor cable on the backside and the USB's, input switch and power connections on the front. The included instructions were very understandable and had plenty of graphics to guide in the hookups. This device worked perfectly right out of the box on first startup. The switch module and the switch puck both have buttons on them to change inputs. I like the wired remote switch puck that is used to change inputs, it has a generous 5 foot cord, if the switch itself is in a remote spot then the switch puck has a switch button and led lights that indicate which input you are on. The USB ports on the front can be used for input devices or for charging ports, as with my phone in the picture. It hooks ups easy and works great, I can find no issues to share about this item at this time.

...that was free of visual defects, running between a HD business laptop and my 4080S gaming rig, using 8K HDMI cables only to a 4K60hz 4:4:4 monitor. With this setup, I've tried 5 different KVM switches with varying degrees of visual issues from the use of a KVM intermediary (no KVM switch, no artifacts confirmed). The issues ranged from constant refreshing of the screen, pixelized static, ghosting shadows, etc. MSRP of these KVM switches ranged from $20 to $90. I've been told by my IT friends that KVM switches of significantly greater expense was no guarantee of pristine visual capabilities, though issues were less likely. But vecause I work with images professionally, visual competence on the part of the KVM switch was a must. Pretty much resigned myself to going up to the next shelf for pricing. But then I tried THIS item.I really hope it lasts!

As far as KVM's go, this will get you there with no issues, and keep some money in the bank. But this might not have all the options your wanting/needing. This is a very basic KVM, but performs without issue. It supports only HDMI so DP is out, unless you use an adapter (not included). The switching is done manually via a plugged in switch of which is not the greatest quality in my opinion, or the button on top of the KVM itself. If you switch a lot, this my not be for you. The cord is about 1 foot long and for me was a bit too short, as I don't want the KVM on my desktop, and where I want it, would be too far to reach to be convenient. It is small in stature and size so that isn't an issue. I will just have to buy a switch with a longer cord. Price point seems fair enough for a basic KVM. It does have a slight delay in it's switching ability, which could be the switches themselves, but many lower priced KVM seem to suffer from this, and this one is not an exception. Still if money is the issue, this will do.

The 8K HDMI capability is impressive. The picture quality is crystal clear, and the 4K@120Hz support ensures smooth visuals whether I'm working or watching videos. It's a massive upgrade from my previous setup; the difference is night and day.Sharing one monitor and three USB devices between two computers is incredibly convenient. I can switch between my work PC and personal laptop with ease, and all my peripherals stay connected. The wired remote is a nice touch, making it super easy to switch without having to reach behind my desk. The setup was a breeze. The 12V power adapter and USB 3.0 cables made it quick and straightforward. The build quality feels solid and durable, giving me confidence that it will last long. The HDCP 2.3 and HDR 10 support are fantastic for streaming and gaming, making the most of my monitor's capabilities. It's also compatible with my various devices without any issues.

Does not keep monitors active. So you have to reposition all your apps every time you switch between systems.
