I'm a professional photographer / videographer and I own a few Tiffen black pro mist filters. I wanted to give this one a try as it's substantially cheaper, but I was indeed sceptical. But I have to say, I am extremely surprised and content with the quality of it! I haven't done any side by side testing / scientific comparisons to confirm the quality of it, but having used it for a couple of projects now, I can say with confidence it performs great and I will be buying a few more of them now. Highly recommend!

I own two of these bad boys both at 1/4 strength paired with a vintage lens. I've been having some serious fun with them both and couldn't be happier. Does what it advertises itself to do and helps create stylized shots. 1/4 strength creates a strong enough glow that isn't too overwhelming.

I can barely see what effect this thing has on my photos. It's very minimal so if that's what you're going for, this is the one for you.

Love how it tones down lighting and gives a bloom effect without over doing it.

I have the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II which is a Micro 4/3's camera. As such, the lenses are tiny with less glass to cover, making the price of these filters extremely low. So I bought both this K&F Concept 58mm Black Soft Filter 1/4 and the infamous Black Pro-Mist 1/4 Filter. This is all subjective, but I prefer the look of the Tiffen black pro mist more. The K&F is a bit too bloomy, and the image loses a lot of contrast. That makes the K&F less versatile. Meanwhile, the Tiffen is more balanced, with less bloom and higher contrast. Making it perfectly acceptable for everyday use.Given the low price of this K&F filter, I'll still keep it. But, If I had to choose one, it would undoubtedly be the Tiffen Black Pro Mist filter.
