This is a fantastic filter to give a video or photo a dreamlike quality. It knocks out the sharp hot spots in a shot and softens it up to a dreamy feel. Great for portraits or anything really where you want to give a dreamy feel. Excellent filter, well made and as a filter hound, it's another awesome tool in my kit. Very dramatic, can be perceived by some as heavy handed but I love it. It's a very cool filter. Super happy with it.If you are into dreamy effects, this filter is for you.

This soft FX filter gives you that retro glam look. It is very effective meaning very strong. If this is the look you are going for, this filter is it. Compared to other mist filters I've used, this one has a very unique vibe straight from the 70s.

Softens the image throughoutWell made filter with good threading. Easily screws on and does not stick.Softens the entire image evenly especially noticeable though on bright lights. It's a strong effect so use judiciously. One may well want to take multiple locked shots and brush in certain areas in post if you want controlled selectivity. This will give you more control over softening, bloom, and contrast. Using it this way gives you the kind of control one might expect from a digital post filter but with the ability to start from real glass with a subject where you can control the lighting and see the full effect as you take your pictures.

Nice even dispersion, good build quality, comes in a hard plastic case. I like getting the effect in camera instead of post, though filters like these are starting to fall out of favor. Saves you time though and is fun to use.

I would say that the effect is not subtle at all. It's a bit too much honestly. It looks nice if you are doing a shot with your subject a bit closer in the shot though. Not my favorite effect because it's just too much but it does give a nice look. I would just use a promist filter honestly though.

I recently picked up the Prism Lens FX Cine Soft FX Filter for my photography, and it's been a fantastic addition to my gear. At around $110, this filter offers a strong softening effect, perfect for creating that deep gradient diffusion look in my shots. The 77 mm size is just right, and it’s lightweight, making it easy to handle. One thing to note is that it’s a no-coating diffusion lens, so you get the pure softening effect without any additional enhancements. It’s definitely a solid choice for anyone looking to add a cinematic touch to their photos. An STG Synergies BTN Enterprises Review!

This is a hard one for me, don't get me wrong, I love the build quality and everything, I ordered 2 of their fx filter series on amazon the "Cine Soft FX Filter" and the "Lucid Dream" but they are both too strong, I wish there was like half the intensity of the effect to able to use it in various scenarios and justify the price, but unfortunately they are both useless to me, It's just too strong and too expensive to just shoot one certain niche video that's probably going to be used 1 in a thousand videos, instead most of the videos, if it was half the softening intensity.I can't recommend it, maybe if they release less intense softening version then I can use that, I feel like it's comparable to a regular black diffusion 1 filter or maybe 1/2 so it need to be at least comparable to 1/4 black diffusion filters, but for now it's just not for me, the softening is too strong to the point of mushy..
