About this item

  • Installing a K&F Concept streak gold filter in front of your lens could create the same flare as the anamorphic lens. Whether it’s a photo or video, this filter adds a linear flare effect to your image
  • K&F Concept gold streak filter creates a gold streak flare on images, emulating the look of the type of lens flare produced by anamorphic cinema lenses. The angle of the flare can be easily positioned by rotating the filter.
  • Both sides of the glass with waterproof, scratch-resistant, and oil-proof nanometer coatings (total 28 layers). Protecting the filter and lens from all around is durable.
  • With aviation aluminum, the width of the frame measures only 3.3mm, an ultra-slim frame with no dark corners on the wide-angle and telephoto lens. CNC-non-slip design for efficiently removing and installing the filter.
  • 【Note】This filter is compatible with all 67mm lenses. Please verify your camera's lens thread size. The number is beside a "ø" (diameter) symbol.

This is a super fun filter and great for those of use who enjoy the anamorphic streak flare but can't afford a legit lens. Now this gold filter isn't perfect and it will not accurately replicate the anamorphic magic, but it can add these streak flares. I used it while shooting a music video and it turned out super neat! The fibers are gold but the streaks still take on the color of the light they are refracting. You nee dot use it at a low f-stop so that the bokeh and streaks are smooth (if you use it at higher f-stops the bokeh has lines in it and the streaks start to look like bar codes. If you know you want this look, go for it! Its a fun, creative filter for video and photography. Yes, you can do this in post super easily, however, there's is a certain charm (analog photographers especially will agree) to in-camera effects.

I am a fan of K&F Concept and love the fact that they can produce quality products at affordable prices.I obtained this filter with an 82 mm diameter thread, and it attaches to the lens beautifully. However, like a lot of filters, it is easier to access with the lens hood off the lens. In this case, I have found that better results are achieved with the lens hood off. The more light across the filter, the better the result.A nice storage case is provided with the filter, so there is very little chance of it getting damaged when it is tossed into a camera bag.Further use, and, some decent weather, should see my results improving!

As with most K&F products I've tested, the build quality of this filter is very good and there didn't seem to be any issues with unintended alterations to the image. I've been pretty impressed with K&F products as a whole, actually, and this is no exception. The gold streak effect is pretty awesome and something that I have been interested in trying for a while due to it's uniqueness - I've just scratched the surface with the creativeness that this filter can provide and look forward to using it in different situations. Having said all that, I don't think there's any way I could have justified buying this (it was a free review product) for the cost. The 52mm that I picked up is listed for $32 and obviously the larger the filter the more it costs. $32 is definitely not super expensive when it comes to photography gear but the cost-to-use ratio wouldn't be in my favor as this is an ultra specific filter that will only be used sparingly. I have K&F diffusion filters that never leave certain lenses because they have an in-camera look that I love. This filter definitely wouldn't fall into the same category. It is a really nice filter though and if you're looking for something like this then the K&F would be something to consider.

I have the blue lens and it worked excellent now with the gold lens. I have a complete set of flare filters. If you want that anamorphic look use a wide angle lens such as a 12 mm or a 16 mm lens put on this filter and align the lines horizontal for that great and amorphic look.It catches the flares very nicely from the top of the screen all the way to the bottom so anything with a bright light will flare outYou can adjust it to vertical or diagonal to your taste. All you have to do is spin it.

Personally, I love the blue streak filter more but this one is fun because it’s definitely not something you see as much. The yellow streaks are fun for my narrative pieces and looks a lot like anamorphic flares. K&F always put out high quality products so you can expect nothing less for this

I wanted to try this out to see how close I could get my non-anamorphic lenses to match the horizontal flares you get with real anamorphic lenses. I also wanted to see if it would add some value to my anamorphic lenses as well. However, the flare was too strong in my testing, and I could not get an organic looking result. This is more of a specialized look where you get strong and distinct gold streaks. I didn't test it across all of my lenses, so imagine you might find your desired result if you look hard enough. At this price though, I'm not sure I would take the chance. I much prefer the subtle and organic looking streaks I get from my anamorphic lenses. They were pricey though and why I see a filter like this can be appealing.

This lens filter provides a nice gold streak effect and is multicoated, adding a unique touch to shots. There’s a slight reduction in image quality, but it’s easily corrected in post-processing. For a fraction of the price of name-brand FX filters, this is a solid choice for experimenting with anamorphic lighting effects without breaking the bank. Highly recommended for creative use!

This filter is used for creating golden, streaking lens flares from light sources. It’s a very pronounced effect and very showy – and probably very easy to over-use. That said, the filter does exactly what it’s meant to do and it does it well, so if this is what you’re looking for it’s a great choice. The build quality, as expected from K&F, is very good. It is aluminum, so it’s probably a good idea to have a filter wrench at the ready in case you need a little help removing it, but I didn’t have any problems. Rotation to set the direction of the streaks is smooth and easy. It’s not an effect that I want to use too often, but it’s a fun thing to have in your bag for the right moments. Definitely worth a purchase!
