The colors are bright and quite lovely! The round container is great and came with a thin foam pad to cushion the tips so they didn’t break. The came already sharp and ready. The price was decent and there was no smearing. The points wasn't so easily broken.

I'm not a colored pencil connoisseur but these seem to be great quality! The colors are great, it comes with a blending pencil and sharpener which is super handy.Colored pencils are moderately expensive regardless, but I find the value was good, and they're better than any Crayola pencils I've used

These pencils are pretty good for the price. Shoot, I’d say they are even great! There are a decent variety of color choices, sharpen beautifully, blend perfectly, and are just fun to choose from and draw/color with.I currently found myself forced to pause a thriving hobby/business and halt most normal life. Chillin mostly, I picked up coloring in coloring books and sketching. Got the 180 piece Soucolor pencils. Didnt have enough colors originally to choose from. Love them, but wanted more. Thes Kalour 120x3 colors pencils are so great! But I didn’t get the sharpener that was supposed to come with it. Never have enough sharpeners. Anyway, great buy! Must have! Would buy again!

These pencils are amazing! The colors are vibrant. They lay down nicely. The sharpener that's included is the best one that I own. It doesn't break the leads, and the smaller hole makes a very sharp point without breaking the lead. Just as fine a point as my Prismacolor Verithin pencils. The pencils blend great also. I only wish they sold individual colors so you can replace some that are used frequently. I also have the Kalour set of 50 Neon's and those are just as awesome. And now I have a great sharpener too! Definitely recommend that you buy these pencils. Nice array of colors also.

I bought this colored pencil set for my son for Christmas, and it has been an absolute hit! The set includes a wide variety of vibrant colors that inspire creativity and make it easy for him to add depth and dimension to his artwork. The pencils are smooth to the touch and glide effortlessly on paper, which has made coloring and drawing much more enjoyable for him.The quality of the pencils is impressive – they sharpen easily without breaking, and the colors are rich and true to their shades. My son has used them on several different types of paper, and they have worked wonderfully without any smudging or bleeding. The set also comes in a neat, sturdy case, making it easy to store and keep all the pencils organized, which is a huge plus.Overall, this set has been a fantastic addition to my son's art supplies. It's perfect for both beginners and more experienced young artists. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a high-quality and fun gift that will inspire hours of creativity!

I'm really happy with the color variety and the quality of the pencils. I personally love any art supply that gives you a DIY colors swatch. It helps you familiarize yourself with the product and gives you a great display of color options when you need them. The pencils color smoothly and are easy to use. They appear sturdy and sharpen nicely too. The only thing I'm kind of unhappy with is I probably should have got a different packaging style.. It's kind of hard to see the colors when you're choosing in this package they came in. It's a minor nuisance though and I can handle it. Overall, it was a good purchase and I recommend this product.

Update: The more I use them, the better I like these pencils. I am having no difficulty getting 5 layers down and they blend well. I purchased a small set of Prismacolors just to see what the fuss was about and honestly find the differences between the Kalour and Prismacolors to be insignificant for a beginner like me. Also purchased the Starjoy Gold and found that while the pigments are vivid and they have a great range of hues, the cores are hard as a rock which I do not like - I am using them for outlines and sketching but really find them difficult to use. Alternatively, these Kalour pencils are a joy to use. At some point I will likely buy a larger set of them in a tin (best thing about the Starjoy is the tin they come in - love it!) FYI, apparently the Kalour pencils are made by Brunfuner and seem to be the same as the Brunfuner round oil based colored pencils. Apparently, all colored pencils contain oil and wax and are referred to by which they have more of, so not sure why the Kalour are listed as wax and the Brunfuner as oil. These same pencils are apparently also sold under the brand names Soucolor, Shuttle Art, Southsun, Womoxe and maybe more. Under the Brunfuner name, they get consistently good reviews and I can see why. May try some of the Brunfuner square colored pencils at some point as they are supposedly better than the round ones, but since they are the same hues as my current Kalour set, I will likely wait on that. May still try the Arrtx at some point, but concerned now that they may not be soft enough for me. Borrowed some Arteza and found them almost as hard as the Starjoy - ugh.Orig Review: No broken cores on my set, except for some pencils I dropped myself. These are wax-based so I carefully heated the pencils I dropped (used method on youtube for prismacolors) and that melted the cores enough to repair the breaks and does not seem to have damaged anything. Cores are soft, which I like - makes color easier to lay down, but harder to get precise details, which is the case for all soft cores. They lay down and blend easily and have a very good range of colors. Color names and numbers are on the barrels - yay! A few colors (5 or so) look like duplicates of others to me, or nearly the same. Some of the barrel colors do not match the core colors, and some color names are not matched to traditional colors for that name, but I see that sort of weirdness in just about all color pencil sets these days. Fortunately there is a good swatch chart included (which was much appreciated - thanks!) and I did receive all colors on the swatch chart, plus blender, white acrylic pen and sharpener. I have had no issues sharpening. Not professional quality - from reviews appears these do not blend or layer as well as prismacolors or polychromos and are not lightfast - but these cost a fraction of those brands. I am no expert, but these seem quite good to me. I have heard the Arrtx set may be better than these (also wax based), but they cost more than 2x what these do, which seemed a lot to me - may be better to buy Prismacolors at that price point. I have also heard the Starjoy colored pencils may be superior to these - those are oil based, sell at a similar price point to these and also have a wide range of colors. I have ordered a set of the Starjoy pencils and a small set of Prismacolors to try out and, at some point, may try a small set of the Arrtx. FYI, these Kalour pencils are sold by several sellers under various brand names - check youtube reviews to avoid buying duplicate sets, lol. At the time of my purchase, these were the best reviewed wax-based pencils with a wide color range under $25.
