The colors that I purchased were bright and beautiful. They pencils are easy to use and they are true to what they said they would be. So far I have not had any of them break and have not needed to sharpen them but so far I am very happy with them.

Good pencils, not as good as Negro pencils by Hardmuth. Good so far as ease of use. Sharp, blendable and functional.

My favorite pencil was too expensive for the number of black pencils I was going through for sketching, so I thought I'd try a more affordable alternative and found these. I wasn't impressed at first, they aren't as pigment rich as my favorite brand, but they hold a point a lot longer and have plenty of pigment when needed, if I burnish. Just ordered another box.
