Good quality and very handy if you want to strip wires fast but it doesn't strip all the sizes and you have to adjust the strength because you can cut into the wires

I had my father's old tool for stripping wires, but the tool finally broke after decades of use. I found this replacement and love using it. I prefer this tool to the other stripping tool in my repertoire. This tool does a nice job stripping wires without worrying about using too much force stripping more than the wire jacket. I'll continue stripping wires using this tool. Money well spent...

I bought it for how it is designed cuts then pulls the wire. I prefer aligning the wire size first, as this make a precision cut. I used the have the traditional design it sold for the same price, it didn't work as good as this. I wanted to try this newer design. I was not disappointed. Price is seemed to be reasonable for cad$27 on special. It reduced stress in working with rewiring of recessed led lights. I had to convert from screw type to wang connector type. My electrician was very old fashioned - 3 years ago when I asked to install Halo leds he put cans with screw on type. He didn't understand new LED technology. I ended up fixing his work.

really well-designed and well-built tool. Solid. No flexing and ambiguous stripping. I reckon the round jaws for slicing through the insulation make a big difference compared to other automatic strippers.

At first was working very well. But after some minimal use mechanism is sort of sticks and wires don't get pulled away all the way. Doing sorry of a half pull, where one side moves and other moves very little. Have a Milwaukee version of this tool and it does not have same issue.

So far have had this for a few weeks to replace my old basic wire strippers and have been using multiple times daily. Saves time, the function of the spring clamp is perfect. Crimps work well but I use my Dedicated crimpers when in the shop but if im on the road these do the job just fine. When using the correct crimp points for insulated terminals I havent had an issue with insulation damage and using heat shrink inulated connecters any minor deformity get pronounced really quick when heated. These came in clutch for cheap when comparable ones from tool trucks are easily triple the price.

What a game changer, if you're looking to evenly splice wiring and can struggle to do so by damaging inside, then this tool is for you. It does take some adjusting to figure out how much the tool needs to clamp down to spread the coating apart, but once its set up, it does the job with ease. I prefer this model vs the new one as it is a bit more user friendly, and you can do multiple wires easily, unlike the new one.

I have electric guitars, to mod, including wiring. Their wires are very thin, and so is the insulation. Necessary to strip, just the right amount of insulation, leaving enough to solder. But not more! Also cutting close to exact length between solders, keeps the wiring, visually clear, as you work, using different-coloured wires. Makes the job, less of a ball-ache!
