I couldn't tell you weather these rubber spikless cleats work very well on slick surfaces because I've order two pare now and I've only ever been sent the set with the spikes, which I can not use at all. Even better, the second pare were lost and showed up late. I would like what I paid for please.

Hoping to avoid spikes but found out quickly these do not work on ice or greasy surfaces. A regular tennis shoe works better

Recently went to Washington state where I was born and still have a very large amount of family there and knew it was gonna be cold, snowy, and icey so even though I knew those things I still came unprepared. I was gonna be staying with my uncle while up there and he has an insanely steep uphill driveway to get to the garage and the front door as well, and it was covered in snow and worse ice the entire time I was there. I brought winter boots thinking those would be all I need couldn't have been more wrong cause I was slipping all over the place even fell on my hip once. So I ordered these ice cleats at my uncles recommendation as these are what he uses too, to put on my boots and OMG the difference in traction and stability was a night and day difference never even came close to slipping the rest of the time I was up there which was like 2 more weeks after recieving them. So to wrap things up and put it plain and simple for you here it is if you are going somewhere cold where you will be walking in snow and on ice especially at an uphill incline or downhill decline winter boots are not enough I promise you buy yourself some ice cleats for your boots and save yourself from some pain from slipping and falling like I did they are reasonable priced and work wonderfully so in my opinion a must have item with no excuse not buy I give them 5 stars without question.

Don't Know listing name Of "INCORRECT" Item Sent on the "ReOrder" But I ReOrdered these "Spikeless" Cleats as "Purchase Again" from Previous Order. Barcode Label On This set has P/N XOO4B5DPV7 (correct?) and Says "Spikeless" But They Have "Spikes" !!! and are a completely different product overall !! Correct Item deserves a solid 5 star rateing if you get what you order!!!

if you have ever gotten out of your car only to slip on the ice and fall flat on the ground you know the need for some sort of added traction for your shoes, while the spiked cleats may work well with compact snow or even ice the problems with them is you have to remove them before walking into your house or store and if the surface is just a thin glaze of ice there isn't enough depth for the spikes to stick into. these spikeless ice cleats addresses both of these problems. the rubber is soft and "sticky" to give you needed traction on slippery surfaces with out the need for spikes and since there aren't any spikes you can walk in doors until you find a chair to sit down on and slip them off, with out concern for damaging the floors. they are easy to slip on and off and come with a little pouch to store them in when not in use. over all a good alternative to the spiked ice cleats

So this is my analogy. You can get studless snow tires and they are better than all weather tires. But studded snow tires are way better than un-studded tires. Stick with me here... These crampons are better than no crampons but are not as good as spike or cleated crampons. For navigating ice, they aren't the best. But for long distance walking or hiking, they are better than just winter boots and are more comfortable than spikes.

The Spikeless Ice Cleats Anti-Slip Shoe Traction Grips Crampons Spikeless Footwear Traction Aids are not all that durable. The rubber is stretchy but thin. The traction grips are easy to slip on and secure on a boot or shoe. Unfortunately, don't offer any more traction than a good pair of hiking boots. They're helpful on wet surfaces with a pair of dress shoes or sneakers that don't have much tread. I doubt they'd do much good on ice. For ice, you really need something that will bite into it. So overall, I don't recommend them.
