Your cart is empty. This Electric Solenoid (air valve) are used with air horns are for both 12 volt and 24 volt vehicles . When the vehicle's horn button is depressed, the Solenoid becomes electrically energized, opening its chamber and permitting air to reach the horn. The solenoid remains engaged as long as the horn button is depressed. Max 150 PSI. Threaded air outlet screws in to any horn that has a 1/4" female thread, and the compression air inlet side will accommodate a 1/8" outer diameter hose.

inlet is on the side. appears to need pressure for solenoid to really operate. allows a pretty good blast through it when triggered. was ok at 12v. hoping inlet is 1/8 npt haven't verified yet. outlet was 1/4 npt male. won't operate hooked up in reverse. used a diode to handle fly back.

I bought this to replace a valve for an air horn on my RV. It didn't work right out of the box. When I was checking it a wire came off. Not worth the trouble returning. Getting better one.

This does allow enough air flow to make the horn sound like a horn. Just hope it lasts long

product initially worked on completion of install, lasted 3 horn blows and then failed. Checked wires and all other connections and areas for defaults, found no source for the failure besides the solenoid itself. will be returning and ordering from a different company.

At first I thought there was an issue with this valve but it was in fact a low voltage situation from working on the vehicle once the battery was charged properly the valve functions perfectly

While the hose connections are 1/4", the pintle hole opening is 1/8". As checked with a drill bit. This cuts the assumed air flow in half. Be advised !!
