I couldn’t secure my kayak on my roof racks. These racks helped with that a lot they were easy to install and they are sturdy.

Pretty easy to install. Easy to unscrew and take off the top half. The hard part is putting the top half back on. One side doesn’t go in easy at all and I have to keep hitting it until it lines up and the screws themselves aren’t the easiest. But for the price I still give it 3.5 stars!

The item arrived and I left it in the box until it was needed. Unfortunately, I didn't look at it or attempt to install it right away. When I finally needed the hooks and installed them, a crucial part was missing (a nut to hold the hook to the roof rack). I found a substitution to use in the meantime. Even the one hook that had the correct parts was crap! It wouldn't stay upright on the rack and shifted while in use almost causing the kayak to fall off the car. It was tightened as instructed and as tight as possible but still slid sideways releasing hold of the kayak. This is a cheaply manufactured product and unsafe.
