It just works right the way when I connect it from my KVM (HDMI) to my Dell WD15 mini display port). No issues in video so far. That's awesome.

Alors là, on parle d'un accessoire indispensable pour les fans de Mac (et ceux qui aiment brancher des écrans partout) : l'adaptateur Mini DisplayPort vers HDMI. Autant dire qu'avec ça, mon Mac peut enfin discuter avec ma télé, et ce n'est pas une petite discussion, c'est une vraie conversation en haute définition. On dirait un traducteur de langage, mais pour les écrans.L'adaptateur est bien fini, avec une gaine en nylon tressé qui a l'air solide. On sent que c'est fait pour durer. Les connecteurs ont l'air de qualité, pas de risque de faux contact. Il est compact, facile à transporter. Il est prêt à l'emploi, il n'y a plus qu'à brancher et à profiter de l'image sur grand écran. On dirait un petit accessoire qui fait de la magie.Les effets ? Mon Mac s'affiche sur ma télé en un clin d'œil. Les films, les jeux, les photos, tout s'affiche en haute résolution. C'est comme si mon Mac avait enfin un porte-voix géant. C'est la joie du grand écran, sans effort. Je vais peut-être me lancer dans la création de diaporamas familiaux géants.Les + : Compatible avec Mini DisplayPort et Thunderbolt, transfert du signal HDMI de qualité, gaine en nylon tressé robuste, compact, facile à utiliser, bon rapport qualité-prix.Les - : Il ne fait pas le popcorn pendant les films (mais il affiche très bien les images, c'est le principal). (Plus sérieusement, il est impeccable).Conclusion : Un excellent adaptateur, je recommande vivement pour tous ceux qui ont besoin de connecter un Mac à un écran HDMI. 5 étoiles, et si je pouvais, je mettrais un petit sticker "Connexion Parfaite" en plus. Mon Mac est ravi de cette nouvelle liaison !

It does exactly what it's supposed to, it allows a mini displayport (TB1/2) to output into a monitor via HDMI. For those in my situation, I needed an M1 Pro to connect to an OWC dock then the dock through its mini display port to the HDMI 2.0 port of my monitor. Other cables wouldn't output or cause issues and I realized I needed an active HDMI cable, which this one has but I'm only able to set my screen to 85hz on a 3440 x 1440 monitor that handles up to 144hz. Not docking a star for that as it's a limitation of my own hardware.

iMac 2011 Mid. I usually buy products from these guys as they are generally good. This adapter however flickers when connected to my iMAC. Used with their HDMI cord as well and tested other HDMIs. Didn't work, still flickers... may have to return unfortunately.However, give it a try- it might work for yours as their products are well built.--update--Customer service is exceptional. They reached out and offered support to find the correct one I needed (which is an Active DP adapter, not this one). In this case, I cannot rate this low due to not knowing the difference between passive/active. As I tested it on my Macbook Pro, it works fine with no flicker. Customer service did let me know exactly the correct cord I needed. With that, I've updated my rating because of the exceptional customer service AND the fact that it works as intended- and as always with their products I've purchased in the past, it is of very high quality! Definitely a trustworthy brand.

This is a decent choice for a thunderbolt/mini-displayport to HDMI dongle. I use this with my 2012 MacBook Pro to connect to a monitor at my desk and sometimes to connect to a TV screen for presentations. I've also got a AmazonBasics dongle that I use, so I'll compare the two. First off, the build quality on this dongle is really nice, with great metal construction and braided cable. It really seems built to last. It's also more compact than most other dongles, as the connector is roughly the same size as the head of an HDMI cord, whether the AmazonBasics dongle is about 3x larger. My reason for docking one star, is that while I've never had issues using this with the monitor at my desk, I've found this is more sensitive to bad HDMI cords, and it doesn't work well at the TV screen I use for presentations. With the AmazonBasics dongle, the signal will sometimes cut out momentarily in the middle of a presentation, so I blame the underlying issue on a poor quality HDMI cable, but I have had several times when I couldn't get a signal with this dongle and then when I switched to the AmazonBasics adapter, it worked. Therefore, if you're getting to be traveling with this and using someone else's HDMI cord and equipment, be aware than this dongle seems to be more sensitive to bad setups than most. However, due to the much superior build quality and minimalist design, I still recommend this adapter, especially if you are using this on your equipment, and with your own HDMI cord, that you control the setup of.
