Bought new pc with only hdmi output. Tried vga to hdmi adapter. This failed within 30 minutes (black screen). I then saw the dvi connector on the back of the monitor. Bought this cable and it worked.

I really enjoyed how minimal the packaging was, the cable feels high quality and had caps protecting both connections. It was incredibly affordable and the picture quality with this cable is perfect. It works with my macbook and 24 inch Lenovo monitor and seems to be compatible with other HDMI products I have. I strongly recommend:)

I found myself repairing a family member's machine. It's a decade old, but they wanted to see what could be done with it. (i3-2100.) I cleared out a mountain of dust, got everything cleaned up and repasted, put back together and...This uses DVI. I don't have a DVI monitor any more. I have one or two with VGA and HDMI, but no DVI - I think I got rid of my last DVI monitor years ago. Searching through all my parts, I found no adapters, either (which is a shock... but I probably tossed those out way back when, too.)Picked this cable up and it worked just fine. Picture's perfectly sharp and clear, going from DVI to HDMI on the monitor. No interference, no signal problems. It's not facing heavy duty work, but it did the job just fine. Probably a useful cable to keep in the toolbox if you're going to work on some older systems.
