Be careful about ordering these discs. I ordered 3 discs and found that the hole is too large for one of my grinders, and too small for the other grinder. I don't have a bushing that I can use to make it work.

After I opened this up I realized I'd made a mistake. This is not for a standard angle grinder. Not to be deterred, I very carefully centered the disc on my angle grinder and went to town on a glass jar I wanted to turn into a planter. Obviously you want to wear eye protection when you're using something like this, even under ideal circumstances, and I did. I was able to cut holes in the bottom of the glass with ease -- it really just cuts right through glass, no problem. And it cut through the top easily too, although a combination of my enthusiastic haste and the slight "bumpiness" caused by the blade being off-center ended up causing some cracks... but the planter turned out about as good or better than I expected, and the blade ground out any sharp edges with impressive speed and ease.

I’d first note that these wheels are 4” not 5”, I had no problem using them with my Makita 4 1/2” angle grinder. Second, grinding or cutting on ceramics or stone generates A LOT of dust. If you don’t have a dust collection shroud on your grinder attached to a vacuum I only use these outside., making sure of a good dust mask. Third, if you’re cutting glass you need to keep the glass cool to avoid heat stress and breakage in unpredictable patterns. It will cut glass but take it slow and keep cooling it with water. I used these for cutting 1” granite and they preformed as advertised. It’s still a relatively rough cut and will need to be polished but for the price I was very impressed. I’d recommend and would buy again. A good bargain for stone, brick and tile.

I’ve had a opportunity to experiment with a blade for about a month now. I think it does a great job. I’ve used this on multiple tile surfaces and concrete. It seems like this is one of the most durable blades I’ve seen (check out the pic). Surprisingly it cuts tile in some cases more effectively than a wet saw (this kinda shocked me)…smooth, less jagged cuts. The key difference here is that you’d do it with a grinder. I don’t see this as a replacement, rather it’s great for specific use cases. For the price of 5 blades here I only got one at a big box store. The only not so great point was fitment. It didn’t have an adapter for my grinder…it was slightly larger; I’m sure I can find something somewhere. Overall I think this is a great buy because it performs well, competitive price point, and it last a longtime.
