The listing said this was good for metal, plastic, fiberglass...I needed to strip some paint off some fiberglass. Don't use this for that application. The disc is quite strong and abrasive, and will very quickly go through the paint and into the fiberglass itself - not what you want. It's too strong and abrasive for fiberglass or plastic. However for metal, it's great. It quickly strips away rust and paint and leaves a clean, shiny surface behind.Who is this for?- Anyone who needs to strip rust or paint off of metalPros:- Works quickly- Doesn't wear down too quicklyCons:- Far too abrasive for fiberglass or plastic

These are tough but not so tough as to really cause damage. Fit in a normal drill and work great!

For most jobs I'd use the larger diameter, but these little guys are great in smaller access areas. They work fast...and get used up fast. Buy extra.

These wheels are pretty handy in tight spots that are caked with rust, grime, and whatever you have. My use for them is refinishing riding mower decks, which is an area they are made for ! DO NOT ever use these on wood, or plastic, unless you want to destroy it ! They are made to clean hard, solid metal surfaces where finish is not an issue, and they do the job great. They work great on my mower decks, and for initial prep on a car that needs body work. They are also quite durable, and after cleaning up a 46" mower deck with one, on a normal power drill, I could probably do another before changing to a new wheel. Great deal for the money, and has already paid for itself in saved labor !

These wheels are rough and when I used them on wood it chewed it up! I would recommend using these only on something that can handle the grit and probably the only thing might be metal. It did work well to grind out some dry rot- very fast.

Would definitely not use this to cleanup, remove scratches or remove road tar on stainless steel or chrome. It will ruin the surface because it is much too aggressive. I used it to remove several years of mineral deposits and excess coffee spills on the drip tray of my espresso machine, a part which is not seen. I did it as an experiment. There is really no need to clean this tray to the level I did. It has nothing to do with the proper functioning of the espresso machine. I chucked a disc into my 0-500 RPM drill paying no attention to the speed setting. The disc quickly removed deposits but left significant scratches. I subsequently removed most of these manually using Scotch Brite Green and then Scotch Brite Brown. Now that I have seen what these discs can do, I will only use them to remove scale, mineral deposits, rust and road tar buildup from iron and steel mechanisms where appearance is not a consideration. In the future, I will use these wheels for a small project where I want to bring a rust-proofed metal object down to bare metal before hitting it with gray primer and then repainting it with rust proof paint.

This worked on cleaning up a brass valve body without destrying the valve. Also got all of the extra paint off of it. They aren't the smoothest and appear to be out of round a bit, but they work very well on stripping paint. It has a very open texture and is not aggressive on the base metal. Cleaned the valve up in the end and looks better than new. A small disk overall but a good collection of them and they work great for cleanup.

I am restoring an old classic rusty car. These discs work good to remove old paint and rust prior to doing body work. They fit into any standard drill (not included :-) ) . Happy with this purchase. I will need to buy more in the future for my next project. Cheers.
