Had a massive copper issue (thanks algaecide / not reading the ingredients) 3.3 ppms…. every time I would shock the pool It would immediately stain the plastered flooring of my in-ground pool. I have about a 24000 gallon pool and started to put 1 and a half bottle of this product to remove the stains and it worked. Have been using it as I continue to work towards lower my copper ppms. Recommended for any recent copper stains. may have to tinker a bit to find the correct amount - I had to go over the factor recommended amount.

At first I expected the stain gone overnight but it wasn't so I waited it out ! By day 4 it was totally gone. I use one full bottle for a 18 by 52" intext pool. I almost purchased a second bottle but I really didn't want to just incase the product stunk . I did cover it with a solar blanket , pump running then backwashed after 24 hours. This was my first opening with clear water but a brown ring below the waterline. Maybe I forgot to add the winter stain preventer lol?

I use it monthly in small doses to help keep the pool clean. It works and I don't use a lot of chlorine in the pool. Helps keep stains from leaves and other things in the pool.

You would never know how much we abuse this pool. Cigarettes, both of spaghetti, lawn furniture, herds of 19-year-olds… but all it ever takes is a little bit this chemical or that all from this brand, and Crystal clear and clean again.

Not sure why so many people have problems with this product. It literally did what it said and without scrubbing. I wish I took before and after pictures. I have a 7500 gallon salt water fiberglass pool that suffers from small dark brown stains from yard fertilizer that gets blown in. I scrub and scrub and use vitamin c tablets but it is always a pain to get out and never comes out 100%. When I received this product I put in 12oz at night and came back in the morning and most of the stains were gone. I put in another 5oz right away and literally within 10 minutes they were fully gone. My chemically levels were not harmed at all either.

I used apx half bottle in my pool which is apx 20k gallons. We had some orange rust/iron deposited on the white stairs and seating. Made sure water was balanced and clean, added around edges as described, and now everything is pristine within a couple of days of filter running. Also made sure to scrub the areas after application.

I purchased this because I had multiple stains in my pool. There were a variety of them, some metal and some not. This product looked like it would remedy the stains. I applied it to the pool as directed. Not a single stain of any kind was removed. Keep shopping, this isn't the one.

I have used this as a stain preventer in the past and it seems to work well, although it's hard to judge the effectiveness of a product that is preventing something until it doesn't work. When I opened my pool this year I had a brownish yellow stain a foot wide around the entire pool. It is the first time I have encountered this. While this product is primarily for preventing stains, the directions on the bottle say this will remove stains if used in higher concentration, so I purchased two bottles for my 20,000 gallon pool and followed the directions precisely. The stain seems to have lightened a little, but it is still there. Directions say a second dose may be necessary, but I'm reluctant to spend another $30 to find out if a second dose will eliminate the stain. I did try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on one section of the stain and it did seem to remove it pretty well. It will take some work, but I will try that before buying more expensive chemicals. Products effective on some stains may not be on others. It depends on what is causing the stain, so try to figure that out before buying expensive chemical solutions.6/21/15 Update To Review - The stain did continue to lighten, but I was able to remove it completely by going around the pool with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Don't know if this will work on other pool stains, but with the combination of Stain Away and the Magic Eraser, I was able to eliminate my stain. I may have been able to do it with the Magic Eraser alone, but it likely would have been a little more work to do so. If I get the a similar pool stain again, I will try the Magic Eraser because it is a cheap solution, but wouldn't hesitate to use the Stain Away again if necessary.
