This works great on my pool & I love how fast the ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) takes out the stains, but it is irritating that when I open the bottle that it is not a full bottle. This is expensive & I have to buy it often, so when I only get 2/3rds of a bottle, it irritates me. It is too expensive to not get a full bottle. (fyi: You could purchase Vitamin C tablets, and they might work just a well yet be less expensive).

Unfortunately, I did not take a before picture. My 30 year old pool was looking horrible. Metal stains from a construction remodel, hurricanes, and everything else. The pool was so unattractive I was investigating getting it resurfaced. However, a friend of mine gave me a container of this. It worked miracles in one day! I immediately ordered a bottle. My fiberglass pool now is sparkly clean, no stains, it looks new!

We had to do a backwash on our pool filter and then needed to refill the pool. We have A LOT of iron in our water and it makes our liner and pool stairs very red. I bought this stuff which is a lot cheaper than the bioguard at rhe pool store and it does the exact same thing. Our stairs, liner and drain cover in the deep end of pool were stained very red and after 1 day all the stains were gone. You have to follow the directions to a T but if you do it's a miracle worker. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures.

Our pool build was just finished mid September. PebbleTec finish. A couple weeks afterward I saw a dime sized rust stain on the shelf. Really bummed. Then another in the deep end on the side wall. Then another mid pool on the floor. In total I now had 4 dime sized stains in the pool.I did a search and this is one of the products that came up and had pretty good reviews. I decided to buy and give it a try. I used the sock method, putting about 1/2 cup of powder into a white athletic sock, twist it, and attach it to the skimmer pole end.I then just put the pole and sock directly in the water and the sock on the stain for about 10 seconds and lifted it off. If the stain was still there I would do this for another 5 seconds, then lift off again. After doing this one more time for 5 seconds the first stain was gone. I was shocked. Nothing ever works this easy for me.I did the remaining 3 stains with the same results. Happily surprised and now I have hope if this happens again.

Following a refill after a repair, my white 11k gallon fiberglass pool turned solid brown in color. It was terrible, and after trying a bunch of different products I finally bought Natural Chemistry 07395 Extra Strength Stain Free. I simply added it to the pool, ran the pump for 15 minutes to 'stir' and then left it over night. The change the next morning was beyond remarkable - The pool is sparkling white. Your mileage may vary, but I am so pleased that I tried the product as I had almost given up. You will need to bring your chlorine back up slowly over the next couple of days as the treatment will flatten it. Also remember to clean your filter before the process and regularly for the next week. Some additional thoughts -- This works on metal stains, and you can test for that by buying some Vit C tablets from your drug store (white, crushable). It the stain fades when you rub a tablet on the pool wall then this product should work.- It will begin working immediately - My steps and floor near the pool walls cleared in 5 minutes - but it takes time for it to work across the entire pool. I ran the pump to mix the treatment in, but that was not something they stated in the instructions.- My pool was heavily stained so I used the entire treatment.- The 'after' pictures are the next day, about 24 hours after I added Stain Free.- Although there is nothing in the product instructions I have read that rapidly raising the pools chlorine and alkalinity can drop the metal back out of solution. I have raised it more gradually without issue over a few days.- $30+ for what is basically 2lb of powdered absorbic acid (Vit C) is expensive - You can buy an 8lb tub on Amazon for less than $60. If you don't think you will need to do this regularly then it is probably still worth it (I would have paid double, and I was quoted $300 by a pool company for basically the same thing). If you are in a high iron area and need to refill often then you can do better volumewise with your $.
