I LOVE THIS PET SAFE ICE MELT! As soon as I put some on the side walk and my steps, it started to melt the snow. There's not even a drop of slush on them either.

Spread around 2 pounds on half of 5 brick porch steps the first try and it didn’t melt at all. Then tried about 4 pounds a couple hours later and it didn’t melt much either. Directions on bag say 1/2 cup per square yard. I’m no mathematician but I’m pretty sure I used around 8 cups for the recommended 2 cups. I also spread over ice on the driveway, similar to how I’ve spread other salts, and it didn’t make a difference/melt at all. Also to note, it’s not typical chunks, more like shards, which may be the issue with melting too fast.

Works well and is pet safe like it says, melts kind of slowly though. Also will have some large flakes in it that make it a bit difficult to use in a salt spreader.
