I was excited about this light for my nano reef replacement. Had it for 2 days running at the mid brightness and noticed on day 2 that it was really dim. It got so hot the glue holding the glass in melted off. Be careful with this. It’s said because I really liked it. Plus I noticed using a different timer for it made it turn on to default. Like a factory reset

I use it as supplemental center lighting on my 75 mixed reef. I have 2 AI prime hd16 that are on the tank and I’d say this light is about 1/2 as strong as those BUT it has a nice color spectrum and the corals like it. It would be suitable as a solo light in a nano set up for softies/mushrooms

I originally got this for my small 5 gallon tank, it worked perfectly, corals happy, nems happy, great coverage, just wish it had an easier way to tell how bright the light was on. Once I switched to a 20 gallon tank and got a second one they don’t seem strong enough even with 2 of them. I like the ability to move the arms around if I need to adjust it, it doesn’t fit well over a standard tank lip it’s awkward and falls if you move it wrong. Cord length is nice. I wish the timer was a bit better, I don’t want it turning back on after 6 or 9 hours when it’s set to turn off after that amount of time but I also don’t want it on for 12 hours.

Cooling fan appears to be working and quiet. We will see how long it lasts without issues. so far so good.

Great light. Works fantastic on my 20 gallon pico reef. Highly recommend it..it has a very nice shimmer when set on blue. Highly recommend it.

What's there not to like? Price point is great,appears well made,easy to adjust light as far as brightness and has a quiet cooling fan..only one gripe..for a rimmed tank,you need to have the screw on the inside otherwise it won't stay stable. Other than this issue,I've got not qualms with it and would definitely buy again. Will do another review after have had operating for awhile..
