You know for $16 I was expecting something to just get me by but I am actually impressed on how it’s made I have 3 of these lights now. it’s very stable and waterproof I actually dropped it in tank when I was setting it up.Lightning is great bright but not to bright to harm my plants has grow light 3 blue 3 red on the 16” one great for a 10-15 gallon tank.

Complete junk and waste of money. First time using it out of the box, and it was on for a couple hours, then shut off due to overheating. Brightness settings don't work at all. You get what you pay for, so pay for something better.

It's an excellent design where it snaps into the top edge of your tank. It's a really bright LED and it has different lengths of time. My aquarium plants need a minimum of 12 hours of full spectrum light, it works perfectly.

This light has an excellent price point for how well made and versitile it is. The photos on Amazon do show showcase all of the product options. I was not sure it would fit on an old style tank, but as you can see from my photo, it will! However, the tank I wanted to use it on requires a full cover to keep my resident fishy high-jump expert inside his home. With the clips folded in, it sits perfectly right on top. I was able to angle the light to create bright spots in the tank for safe fast swimming, and darker spots for resting. My top cover duckweed is thriving. This far exceeded my expectations! It would light up almost anything you might want to put fish in (holding tank, hospital bin, etc.)

As a non-recovering Tankoholic. I own several different brands of lights from the Fluval 3.0 ,hygger 957 and everything from shop lights to outdoor spotlights. Every aquarium I have is heavily life planted deep substrate natural tanks. So I am hoping this very inexpensive light is worth at least what I paid for it and if it is worthy I may need a dozen more.So far at first use I can say light output is worthy of the price, I have no choice but to admit this light will grow low level light plants very well in a 1 foot tall tank. as far as longevity and durability I will comment on that in six months or sooner if it pukes out.The physical size of this light is much smaller than expected, which is nice for nano tanks. The light does come from the factory set up to be used on a rimless tank, The plastic clips with a lot of work can be removed to sit on glass top. I say a lot of work because I actually had to use two pliers to break the pieces of plastic apart.I would love to fall in love with this light if it continues to work as it does now for at least one year I should be happy after all it was a $14 light. As far as the build quality, it was a $14 light. So far do I like it at $14 yes I absolutely do, so far!One month update. The light has been working like a champ for a month now. Each of the LEDs are still working. My only complaint with this light so far would be the color, it is very white almost unnatural, but easy to remedy with a drop of red food coloring and a paintbrush. I give the glass aquarium top a light wash with a red Magic marker to help warm up the color palette. This greatly helped the looks of my CPD‘s and bloody Mary shrimp, Inside a heavily planted 10 gallon. So far still a good light for $14Two months on and still working just fine. This light (16”)is almost too bright for a 10 gallon. My bloody Mary shrimp glow like little red lightbulbs on my black Eco complete substrate. I’ve cut the light back too six hours a day and the plants are still going crazy.18 month update all of them are still working just fine, none of the LEDs have burned out on the five lights I am running. I am getting ready to buy a couple more of these for the plants I have growing out the tops of my aquariums, I have around 10 riparians set up full of house plants with the roots inside the aquariums.I am running a couple of these lights now in my fish room on my own timers they have been working flawless.Dollar for dollar I don’t think you can find a brighter light than this. Will it show off the colors of all fish of course not but it does what it does very well.
