  • Energy-saving & Ingeniously Simple Drive Mechanism - Connect up a garden hose to the normal domestic water supply and turn the tap on. The tap water expands the rubber diaphragm inside the press and presses the ground fruit against the mesh basket. The pressure and pressing time can be regulated by turning on the tap more or less.
  • Easier to Use - Simply grind fruit, grapes or berries and fill up the hydraulic press, turn the tap on and watch as the pressure of the incoming tap water compresses the ground material from the inside to the outside against the mesh basket.(Supplied with 1 pack filter bag and splash guard against splash water)
  • Multifunction Hydraulic Press - This Bladder presses are suitable for pressing juice from pre-shredded apples, grapes, red currants and many other fruits, vegetables and berries. It can also be used for pressing rhubarb, honeycomb, tomatoes, macerated tobacco or citrus fruit.
  • HIGH JUICE YIELD/LESS WASTE - The rapid pressing and the short flow distance preserve the vitamins; the juice has a wonderfully fresh aroma. Due to the high pressure applied, you achieve an exceptionally high juice yield, even if the press basket is only partially filled.
  • Advantages:Much quicker than a traditional press/Easier to clean/Less oxidation of juice/Less effort as the water does all the work/Works off a standard mains tap (preferably outside)

Bought this product to juice garden grapes and apples - some for drinking as is and some to make cider. In past years, we have had to pay to have this done elsewhere. While it will take a while at this price tag to pay it off, it's convenient to be able to do at home and not involve someone else. Easy to use and good quality product. My only challenges are (and why it got a 4 star): 1. the mesh bags are kind of hard to clean - I do not know what the solution is, but fruit (esp. grape goo) gets stuck in it - the rest is very easy to clean 2. you attach your home hose to the machine to use water pressure to juice. The hose connector on the juicer does NOT mesh with home hose bibs... the threading is different. I think the connector is for some other kind of plumbing - they should provide a connecter from home hose to this threading to resolve this issue. I will try a plumbing store to find out if there is a solution I can find myself.

Used the press for the first time and was very impressed. I got very high yield compared to a traditional screw type press. I think some it had to do with the Mosakar Stainless Steel Crusher - 550W that I crushed the apples with. It cut them into very small chunks and when paired with this press I got around 50% yield. The press was easy to operate and clean. You will NEED TO BUY a couple parts to connect your garden hose up to it. The press comes with a brass quick disconnect and female pipe fitting. You will need to adapt with a Male Pipe Thread MPT to Male Hose Thread MHT from the plumbing section of the store, then get a female to female hose thread adapter which might be in the garden hose section of your hardware store. The spinning female adapter makes it really easy to connect up your hose. Hopefully durability is good with this press, that is my only concern at this point.

My guess is that this company just made a cheaper (price) option of the same Hydraulic Fruit Wine Press they sell here for twice the price. The plastic center smell toxic and the hose leaks a bit. But the good thing is that the concept of this press is fantastic and it works perfectly.

We purchased this product to juice our back yard apples. We have 6 mature apple trees and a mature crab apple tree. We have an apple crusher (B01MR6KI2P) which worked great to process the apples. We then loaded them into this apple press. There was some water leakage from the garden hose adapter but not enough to interfere with production. I was reluctant to tighten the hose since we ordered the UK hose adapter and want to not damage threads. In any case, out of the box it worked great.Apple juice was pouring out of the press within 30 seconds of starting the hose up. Make sure you open up the valve on the top to let the air out. As soon as water starts to come out then just close the valve. In any case it worked amazingly well. a double press of the apples only produced another cup or so of juice. It takes only a couple of minutes to run and is almost effort free. We pressed batch after batch of apples. The only real bottleneck was the manual grinding of apples. I wish this product were $500 less but I highly recommend never the less.

In some reviews of this product or its larger cousin, it has been noted that the inlet is not the correct size for North American standard hose connections. I am happy to report that this version that I received has an adapter on it and fits the standard hose perfectly.

I purchased the EJWOX 5.3 Gallon Press because of the lower price. Upon examination, it seems just as well made as the more expensive bladder presses. I set it up and tested it under water pressure but haven't tried it on grapes yet. I hope to try pressing red grapes later this season. I am writing to alleviate any hesitation on buying due to the different garden hose threads issue. This issue is easy to resolve without resorting to a trip to the local plumbing supply store or any DIY work. The solution is buy two sets of quick disconnects, one from the USA and one from the UK. Then use half of each set on the EJWOX. I used the following two products both purchased from Amazon:Hozelock 2041 Pro Metal Threaded Tap Connector $11.13 (ships from the UK) for the BSP/DIN threadsMelnor 15412 Quick Connect Product End 2-Piece Set, Brass $12.99 for my (USA) garden hose threadsAll quick disconnects are not necessarily standardized and interchangeable, but the metal sets above fit like a glove. Having a quick disconnect is always a nice feature anyway (even if, in this case, you end up with two:>)I included two pics:The pic with the blue valves shows the set-up as received from the supplier. The "fat" connection on the right side of that pic is the the water inlet, which is a 3/4" GEKA quick connect. (Note: In the DIY scenario, if you remove that GEKA part, you will also lose the blue valve.)The other pic shows half the GEKA connection removed from the press and attached to the male side of the nickel-plated brass Hozelock. I was a bit surprised that this metal quick disconnect uses a white plastic adapter! Yet this is just a minor quibble. The brass Melnor female side will screw into any 3/4" USA garden hose. This fix is simple, fairly convenient, cheap, and effective. It may or may not be elegant, but it isn't clunky either. I hope this review may help anyone on the fence (and may motivate EJWOX to consider suppling an adapter themselves in the future).

This unit is solid, well made, sturdy and works well. It is new and arrived in great condition. I would buy it again. I am using it to get the juice out of grapes for wine, juice and jam. It saves a lot of work over other methods I have tried. You need to use it outdoors since emptying the water and cleaning it off with a hose would make an impossible mess indoors unless you had drains in your floor. Its only flaw is the fittings will not take a garden hose and no adapter that will fit is available at Home Depot or Lowes. The nipple on the quick disconnect will not fit standard ½” pipe thread. It must be some weird metric pipe for which no parts seem to be available. After talking with half a dozen people and several failed attempts I was able to fix it to work with a garden hose by removing the quick disconnect from the valve and replacing it with a 3/4” FHT x 1/2” MIP Threaded Hose Adapter ($5). Then I screwed in a Brass Inline Water Pressure Regulator with 3/4” garden hose threads $9 (40-50 PSI). Beside controlling water pressure this additional fitting allows you to screw on a garden hose easily since the female end turns (the threaded adapter is fixed and does not turn). So, with $14 in parts, the problem is solved. However, if you are not the handy-man type, look elsewhere for your hydro press. Because of tight spacing, most of the plumbing “Christmas tree” has to be disassembled to change just this one part. It takes about half-a-day and a vise, plyers, open end wrenches, pipe wrenches, vise grips, rags, and potable water joint compound to do the job.If it came with a decent garden hose connector already installed, I would have given this hydro press 5 stars, and been much happier not to have had to do all this work to fix it. However, now that I have fixed it, I am quite happy with it.
