Bought to crush wild grapes for jelly and wine. The small grapes take hours to crush by hand and make a mess. This devoured 3lbs of grapes in less than a minute. Would give 5 stars but im missing one of the threaded rivets. No biggie still works fine. Ill just get a small nut to go on in its place. Assembly is fairly easy but the screws are small especially with big hands.

It scatters the apple fine ...but I soon was using a drill to drive it .The crank works but is slow and ok for a smaller batches.

I knew what I was getting. I needed something for small batches and it works well for that. My only complaint is how it is put together. The screws make it hard to clean as they are sharp and so is the hopper.

I had an abundance of Pinot Noir grapes this season so I decided to make wine. This is just one of several pieces of equipment I bought. Last week my son bought one that has the fingers for crushing apples and it worked well so I got this one without the fingers for grapes and berries. It does not completely remove the stems but they are very easy to remove after passing through the crusher. You just pinch the stems with your fingers and pull then through with your other hand. First time wine maker here so I hope it comes out.

There are no teeth in grinder so it does not grab the apple slices. Very difficult to use alone. You need someone to move the slices around in the bin to reach the wheels. The crank handle does not stay positioned and spins freely when force is applied. I would not recommend this product but look for something that actually works. This product is extremely over priced. I would have returned but I discarded the box it came in after using.

This product works GREAT for crushing muscadines! I make muscadine jelly and previously crushed them by hand. It took several hours, made a huge mess with squirting, and made my hand very sore. This crusher is so easy to use and crushed 2 gallons of muscadines in 3 minutes with NO mess! It’s amazing! My adult son assembled it with no problems. I highly recommend!

I make Huckleberry Wine and had been unable to find a good crusher. I had been using a folly mill with partially frozen/thawed berries. It took an hour to mill 10 pounds for a batch. Bought this and was at first unhappy with it. I totally thawed the berries, and this crusher squeezed the berries, but did not crush them. The smaller berries went right through uncrushed. Tried using hard frozen berries this time. The crusher cracked and split the skins, without harming the seeds, exactly as I want. It took 2 minutes to perfectly crush 10 pounds. The secret is to freeze the berries, not thaw them. It may work well for larger fruit such as grapes, however.

This crusher works very well - for smaller berries such as blueberries the gap may be too large - it is very well constructed and easy to clean - the wooden support piece that mounts to the hopper is an excellent idea to provide full support of the crusher while cranking- this item will provide a lifetime of service

The stainless box on top of the crusher assembles by a bunch of small screws. These screw stick out and will make it difficult to clean. The box also should be reshaped so that it feeds the fruit into the center of the crusher better. They way ot is now fruit will collect around the outer edges where the crusher wheels won't grab them. Compare to another brand Apple grinder that I own that is made very similar this one is sub par. The stainless guards should have been welded instead of screwed together. The crank handle is wobbly. Hopefully it will still perform decent enough.
