I found these liners to be of good quality. They are heavier and definitely block the light. I personally ordered them because of the thermal backing. The only issue I have is that the hooks included to hang the liners into the loops on the liners do not stay in place. There is not really a sharp point on the hook allowing one to insert the hook into the curtain you are lining. It was a challenge to even get the hooks to just stay in place to attach them into the loops on the liner. I choose to return them. Decided to just replace my existing curtains.

The panels are thick, heavy, and slightly stiff which should provide good insulation against heat and cold. My installer used a double rod so that the panels are pushed back behind my drapes out of sight during the day. When I close them at night, they provide complete opaqueness. I'm surprised to have found so much insulation for the price.

I previously purchased ten panels of red blackout grommet curtains that were red on both sides. I needed white liners on the street side of the windows and I found the perfect solution with these white blackout panels. Living in Alaska, we have strong sunshine for many hours in spring and summer, and then equal sunny and overcast days in winter. Very pleased each panel came with the hooks to install them. They will not only protect the red curtain panels over the years but also keep out heat in summer and give extra warmth inside in the winter months. I could not have purchased material to sew my own for the great bargain price I paid. All arrived in excellent condition.

If you want all light blocked, these are the liners to purchase... They will easily hang behind your curtains - not bulky at all... Great product!

Prior to installing these behind my ikea curtains, it was so bright each morning that it was impossible to sleep past 6am. These curtain liners don’t block out 100% of the light, but I think that is due to the way that I’ve hung them. I left spaces in the center so they wouldn’t be visible when the curtains are open. I honestly prefer it better like this—it’s dark enough to sleep in or take mid-day nap but it let’s in enough light to know when it’s morning. They do add quite a bit of bulk to the look of my curtains, but they’re effective so I can live with this. They seem to help with temperature control as well which is a nice bonus. They were a bit longer than my actual curtains, but I just cut them with scissors and they seem to be holding up well. For the price these are great!

I ordered 2 packages of these white blackout panels because I didn’t realize that one package contains 2 panels. However, I think I’m keeping the extra set because they accomplish what I wanted — room darkening! Other reviewers have commented on their weight and how they pull on the fabric of their decorative drapery panels and distort the shape and how they hang once the panels are installed. Knowing this ahead of time, I wasn’t certain these would work for me especially since I was installing the blackout panels behind light-weight linen, grommet drapes. The blackout panels come with drapery hooks that will only work if you hook the blackout panels and your decorative panels together with the hooks provided (this is what causes the pulling and distortion). Since I wanted these blackout panels installed behind grommet panels, I knew I had to do something else and I didn’t want to install grommets into the blackout panels. I happened to have some inexpensive shower curtain hooks on-hand and they worked perfectly! I laid my decorative panel on top of the blackout panels and evenly spaced the shower hooks along the loops of the blackout panel. I simply threaded both the blackout panel and decorative panel onto my rod at the same time making sure to start, and end, with the decorative panel. There was no strange odour to these panels (as some have mentioned about other blackout panels). The panels were quite wrinkled (due to packaging) but I hung them as they came, straight out of the package. I have not washed or ironed these yet so I gave it a 4 star based on the “unknown” at this point. The panels Hope the pics help!

These thermal blackout curtain liners work. They truly block sunlight and my room was dark enough that I overslept! I especially like that you can use the rod pocket (which I did), or you can use the included hooks. I am using a rod that is 1.5'' in diameter and there is plenty of room to easily slide the rod thru the pocket. The curtain liner is white and looks nice from the outside view. I woke up this morning and it's cold outside, but the liner has held back the cold that normally accompanies a sliding patio door. They are true to the measurements described.

Bought these to black out a bedroom for a night shift worker. They work fine for the windows, I just need to thumb tack the outer edges to the wall to stop the light leaks. It hasn’t been warm enough or noisy enough to know if the thermal and noise reduction qualities work. But for the Price they are worth a try.The package arrived in quickly and it good condition.

I don't have much experience with blackout drapes so maybe that's the norm. They have a pocket rod but in the photo seem to be able to attach from the top. I'm not going to use them for the application I'd hoped and am undecided about sending them back. Not sure I can use them somewhere else. They're not the bright white I'd hoped but a greyish off white.

These really block ALL 100% OF THE LIGHT! I put this up in my living room so that I could use the projector mod on my phone for movies. These curtains not only block all the light, but also make an excellent screen -perfect for us! We had a sleeping bag against the window, insulated curtains and topped with a white bedsheet before.....this works so extremely better!! I hesitated-should have just ordered these. I am getting more to put in the camper. I am going to use Velcro to attach them flush to the Windows around the bed behind our curtains. These have no smell, block 100% of the light and block the cold coming thru the window!! Don't hesitate, just change your life!!!
