This curtain saved me! My office gets super hot in the afternoon when the sun sets, it was unbearable, even with a fan. I was a bit skeptical that a curtain could make such a difference, but it really did. I can finally work in comfort. Even the hallway outside of my office has felt cooler. As for blacking out light, it certainly does a great job in that area too. Smallest gripe is that they're note very nice to look at and you can easily see wrinkles. I steamed mine and it looks better, but I think it would still look better with a printed or textured curtain over top.

These liners were more money than I wanted to spend but they are of good quality, and they do block the light very well. They are also easy to install. You don't have to take your existing curtains down to hang them. You just use your existing curtain rod. I am very pleased with them, and I highly recommend.

I bought them to block cold air and noise. They are made with heavy and good quality materials and can make the room quite dark. Rings included and very easy to hang on. I finally took them down because the room feels gloomy with these liners on during the day. I would rather to nap in some sun light. They are truly good product.

Easy to install on a single rod behind decorative curtains, VERY good blackout function. We paired the 80” with 84” curtains and it’s perfect.

I removed a door between our mudroom and living room to open up more possibilities for furniture arrangement. The mudroom is not heated and gets very cold in winter, so I needed to separate the rooms to keep heat on our main space. This curtain works better than a door to insulate. I can only imagine how effective it is for windows. Recommend.

These are BLACK out for sure, they have rings to use with grommet top curtains but they didn’t line up with my curtains and didn’t fold nicely with the curtains when open so I removed tabs and rings and sewed directly on to my curtains at top seam, much nicer looking. I am happy with them.

These blackout liners are great. They came with rings to secure to the curtain rod, and seem to block quite a bit of heat, as well as light. One side is pure white, the other is slightly beige. They add quite a bit of weight, but not enough to make a 19mm, 3/4" curtain rod bend over a 1.8m/6' span.Worthwhile buying if your room gets direct sunlight!

I'm very pleased with these black out curtains. I was sad when I purchased the perfect curtains for our nursery, only to realize they barely blocked any light! I quickly found these black out curtains. I attached them to the curtain rod with curtain rings and they stay completely tucked behind the curtain with regular use. The black out curtains are soft and have a nice fabric feel and a good weight to them. When they arrived they had a very minimal odor, almost like they had been in a plastic bag - but it was only noticeable when I put my face up to it. Keep in mind, my nose is crazy sensitive and I was also searching for any odor. It was BARELY noticeable. That said, the smell was not bad and not overwhelming, I was thankful as other brands have that horrible stinky issue. When they arrived I washed them in our washing machine on cold, the thickness of them retained some water (no matter the spin cycle), so I did throw them in the dryer on gentle for 15 minutes so they weren't sopping wet, then I hung them on the banister to finish drying overnight. Any scent was completely gone, and now they smell laundry fresh and very pleasant. On top of being nice quality they seem to block out the light very well. I'm pleased with the size, quality, ability to stay tucked behind the curtain, lack of smell, and ability to block light!

Great:1. These actually block out 100% of the light. It doesn't "seep" through! Note that, depending how you hang your curtain rod, light can be seen on the top/bottom/side of the curtain. The only way to eliminate side seepage is to have a return curtain rod (I don't have one in my picture). You can block bottom light seepage by having a long enough curtain (like in my photo). To my knowledge, there's no way to block above-the-curtain light seepage unless you tape this liner to the window.2. Each panel (you get 2 in a package) is 50" wide. For a "typical" bedroom window you only need to buy 1 package. The Eclipse brand sold at Walmart comes in 27" wide panes. Who the heck has a 54" wide window?3. The top loops are made of the same cloth-like material. They are sturdy. The Walmart Eclipse brand has yarn-like loops that stretch and don't give me the confidence that they'll last more than a month.4. The rings make the liner slide easily. I have my liners installed behind my back-tab drape. They work fine.5. They work behind back-tab drapes, too. You don't need a grommet-style drape for these to work.6. They are heavy and thick. That's why they truly block out 100% of the light. If you want a light, easy-to-move, wavy flowing liner, this is not it. If you want a Grandma-like thick starchy type curtain that will allow you to sleep gloriously in the dark, then buy these! I will be buying more.Cons: NONE.

I purchased bamboo window panels from Amazon, also a great buy. They let filtered light through, as well as heat and cold. I bought these liners just as the summer heat arrived. They work great, both as a black out curtain and as a thermal barrier. I am assuming that they will work just as effectively against cold. The fabric is flexible and hangs well. They arrived a little wrinkled, but the wrinkles hung out in a couple of days. There was a very slight odor when they arrived. I hung them out on the clothes line for a couple of hours and the odor dissipated 100%. They are heavy, but I installed 1.5" window hardware from Restoration Hardware and there seems to be no problem. Extra rings were included with the purchase. Some were a stiff, but I had no problem opening any. The ends of the panels droop a little, but that is easily solved by using an adhesive Velcro dot to attach them to the panels. I am ordering 4 more sets for all the bamboo panels I have installed. Size is as stated. Very pleased with this product.

The liners work very well to darken a room and seem to provide some insulation from heat and cold. The rings are a bit hard to open, but are sturdy. I have tab-top curtains and slid the rings between tabs and it works fine. They do not seem to help block noise at all--maybe they are more effective against certain types of noise, but I live within 1000 feet of a casino and the huge generators to heat and cool the place run 24/7 365 days a year and the liners did not help reduce that noise. Overall, the liners provide some benefits and should prevent my drapes from fading from the sun so I ordered another pair for a different window.
