This indicator holder worked like it should. If I was making this unit, I would add a fine adjustment to it.

This looks just like a indicator holder I had before but the quality is not there. The parts are cast not extruded like the good ones. And the fit and finish is lacking. The plastic end was loose in the bag, I had to install. It will work for what I need so I'll keep it.

Sometimes you need to hold an indicator on the spindle of your milling machine. For those times its nice to have this style of holder. Once clamped onto the spindle it allows you to rotate the indicator freely around the spindle's axis to locate a fixture or part on the mill. This particular brand is a copy of the original USA-made design, which is still in production. But the name brand costs 5 to 6 times as much. This one is made overseas, and does not have the appearance of a high-quality tool. The castings are a bit rough in places and the hardware is inexpensive. But the thing does work quite well. It holds the indicator with plenty of rigidity to get repeatable readings. So if you're the kind of person that wants top quality fit and finish this is not going to float your boat. If you want an inexpensive tool that gets the job done I think you'll be satisfied with this holder.

This lightweight aluminum alloy clamp is a an excellent value. What caught my attention is its striking similarity to the name-brand counterparts, but at just a quarter of the price. The quality and performance are on par with those higher-priced options, making it a steal. It holds my different indicators perfectly in place, allowing for precise measurements and checking runout without any fuss. If you're in the market for a reliable test indicator holder for the home shop that won't suck you dry, look no further. It's proof that you don't always have to splurge to get top-notch quality.

This gets used in combination with a dial indicator and it's plenty sturdy for that. Great for centering parts/holes/drills/etc on a mill. It looks just like all the other ones I've seen. Quality seems just fine!

I like the way this attaches to the spindle instead of needing to be inserted in the chuck. The adjustments hold well and it has a ton of articulations. It doesn’t fit any of my dial test indicators but that isn’t a flaw in the product, I knew there was a chance this would be the case. I milled a new back case for my indicators that has a dovetail like what the arm wants. The plastic washers on all the joints are my only long term concern for this but if they degrade/break I can always replace them with brass washers. I’m happy with this item given the price. There are many much more expensive options but for an item I use infrequently this is good.

The holder itself use's a little to much plastic in the joints and a plastic cap that grips to the outer spindle. Unfortunately, I do a decent amount of fixture changes on a Bridgeport and for the first 3 weeks it did well seeing use at least 3 times a day. Now the plastic piece that clamps around the spindle as become worn and there is slop where it holds on. The joint's hold fine as you can just over tighten them, however the plastic washers are in just of bad a condition. In your home indicating a vise probably not a big deal, but for daily use look for something more robust

This tool allows me to easily use a dial indicator for machine work. Without this tool, it was often difficult to find a way to best position the dial indicator required for many lathe operations. I live this tool and wonder what I did before I ran across this.
