Used it on setting up new ring and pinion gears in my Jeep JK Dana 44 rear axle. Its very accured and easy to use because of the single knob fixing. The Magnet is also very strong to keep everything in place. I like this Brand and its quality and its the first time i buy a product of them but not the last. Realy happy with it cause of its total good quality, fit and finish.

There is no dial indicator in the box. Two attempts to correct unsuccessful. Do not buy in 2022 if you expect a dial indicator.

For $114 I expect whatever I’ve purchased to include EVERYTHING IN THE ORDER and be packaged so IT DOESN’T BOUNCE ALL OVER THE DAMN BOX. What I don’t expect when I spend $114 is ZERO packaging material and missing components. While this tool may perfectly suit my needs and work perfectly with my existing dial indicator I paid for it to come with a dial indicator. The fact the seller Adventure’s Bag couldn’t package this product properly tells me everything I need to know.

I like noga indicator and adjustable base. Which make it very easy use.Used it to measure deflection on aircraft parts and bearings.

I would rather the fine adjustment be on the base.

The base is super easy to use and beautifully made. The dial clamp holds well with a micro-adjust to get the stem oriented perfectly in one plane.It was only $18 and change more to get this with the gage. This is a Baker K-52 Model 56 METRIC 10cm. A $23 item. The first one jammed. No surprise as it was pre-owned, judging by the lack of packing materials that did come with the second one. The dial has a "Shock-Proof" mechanism that allows the main rack pinion and its gear to rotate against each other to a catch point. This allows the dial hand to bounce during quick movement. No big deal for an $18 indicator.

Best buy ever. It not only looks great at the shop but is really accurate and solid. Also comes with a descent dial indicator. Very nice!!!!Also shipping was super fast and the box was really nice and the packeging, not to mention the 2 day shipping lol

I have used the old indicator bases with the two rigid arms for over 20 years. Sigh. I should have gotten one of these articulating holders much sooner. Very high quality and they go rigid at a quick twist of a knob.I should have read the description more closely ( a bad sign for a machinist). The indicator is metric. Totally my fault. I contacted Noga directly to see if I could exchange it. Unfortunately they only make metric ones. They were very nice and even offered me a tee shirt. Lol. Very cool.I would recommend an articulating Noga holder to anyone.
