I have bought 4 "big boys" over the last 5 years. I am a machine shop owner.New design has arms that are half original size and have alot of flex.Another great name ruined by investors

The last one I ordered was as listing picture appeared this one the bottom joint is much smaller. As well as the middle at the knob is smaller. Might be a new design but I expected it to be like my last one I ordered so not sure if it’s as strong yet.

The Noga Big Boy is like having a third arm if you get the accessory clamp to use with it. I use it hold long brackets in place for welding that will droop if only using clamps right at the weld point. I also use it to hold vacuum nozzles right at the work when machining composites which keeps the air quality in the shop much better.

It's a Noga big boy. Overkill build quality at its finest. This is the second one I've bought. Shortened the arms on the first into a half sized version. It's good to see that they even ground the faces of the mag base for better holding power which you don't see on the knockoffs.

I bought this after watching my husband looking at the Noga Big Boy in an YouTube video. He then looked it up on Amazon and decided against getting it now. He is a good husband, so I looked it up and bought it as a surprise. He not only was surprised, he got a real tear in his eye! Yup, he actually got misty eyed when he opened the box. Second best gift that I have ever gotten him. No telling what the best gift was from me, I mean I am not telling. He has a machine shop in the garage, usually works in metals but has also made me custom wooden kitchen cabinets and bird houses on occasion. He says that it is the best holder he has ever had, very high quality product. It holds absolutely perfectly. It was the perfect addition to his shop-mill, lathe, mics, holders, and now his Noga. He has great tools, Starretts and such, but this has a place of honor in the shop.

Pros - This thing is a beast and really holds up when reaching long distances.Cons - When you have something as big and strong as this they put the cheap fine swivel end on it.
