We had a recent wind storm which damaged my cedar privacy fence. I needed to remove quite a few fence posts and when Vine suggested this to me for review, I readily agreed because I knew that I could a custom length chain section to use with my farm jack so that I'm not lugging around a 30 ft chain anymore. This ended up working quite well for that project. Because it has the forged load limit in the side of the unit, it deserves a better score than the other questionable lifting devices that I've reviewed that claim a certain load capacity in the ad, but there is no proof by way of a forging / stamping on the unit itself.

I am pleased with these shackles. They have a good weight to them, look well made and have nice thick finish on them. The pins fit properly and seem well made. The hooks feel well made and have a good finish as well.The flip latches are king of flimsy, but most are. I have no reservations on using these, and expect them to hold up with no issues. I would buy them again. 5 STARS

I thought they would be a perfect match for my RV travel trailer chains. But no, they are way too big, see photo with tape rule in photo. But I'll still find some way to use them around my 4 acre mountainous property.

Quality slip hooks and shackles for 3/8” chain. The parts have a red coating which helps prevent corrosion and increases visibility. They work good and are easy to install. The fit and finish are very good. Great value.
