These utility cover hooks are great. They're sturdy, the handles are wide enough to grip and hang onto, and the hooks are angled correctly to fit into the holes on most covers. Recommended overall. I would buy these again.

This pair of hooks are making life easier since I moved into a house with a septic tank and have to check it once in a while. My concrete covers have just a piece of rebar embedded in the surface with a 1.5" gap. There was no way I could stick just one finger in and be able to wrestle it off, so I had to use a crow bar. I don't like using the crow bar because I don't want to ship it and diminish the integrity of the concrete. These hooks work perfectly, are light and even have a hole through the handle to put a piece of rebar to get a wider grip. Hopefully, I won't have to use them enough that they break, but they feel well made enough to last me years. I do wish they were a little longer for better leverage on my larger cover.

Purchased compact drain cover hooks which were strong enough for lifting heavy duty concrete drain cover. Very pleased with this product.

One of the hooks is completely out of shape. There is no quality control whatsoever. I bought it to lift manhole covers. How can I trust the product to hold heavy weights? Returned.
