kit seems good, i see some complaints about the plastic parts, but i dont see them being an issue, in certain cases like spark plug repairs, its a bit tricky getting the heli coil in the perfect position, but once set, you can torque the bolt/ plug down and the coil (no thread locker) stays in place.

They changed the design. This tool comes with a plastic guide it's horrible. Ive put in many a helicoil in my day so its not my first rodeo. Tried multiple times and the tab would break off almost each time. Had to drill it out and put a bushing in after I wasted my money on this.

Good product, good seller. product works great if you know how to use it properly. I broke the first insert tool because the cylinder head wasn't completely clear... Doh! If you can, test on something else first before final install. Overall, easy to use if you're mechanically inclined. It's a lot about feel.

Used this kit to re thread a stripped out derailed hanger for a 1997 klien pulse and it worked flawlessly. very happy with the results. Would recommend to anyone. Does not come with drill bit for tapping.

I bought this for my VW vanagon after my motor mount bolts fell out and stripped the original holes in the engine block. Seems to work fine. I think the original holes were M10X1.25 though and this 1.0 kit was a finer thread. I'm glad they sent plenty of coils/springs as I went wasted about five before I felt like I installed them correctly. I had to cut off a good chunk of the springs before installing them because my holes were too short. I'm glad this product exists! Thanks
