Works as intended comes with threaded sleeves as well. Quality made not cheaper harbor freight style or cheap Chinese pot metal. As long as you're only looking to thread one size bolt or hole you're good to go.

The case it comes in feels and looks cheap but the hardware is impressive. Great quality and super tough material trustworthy enough for an engine block! 5 stars! These are 100% better than coiled style inserts. They provide a permanent fix that is liquid and pressure tight. I'm changing all of my thread repair sets over to this style. Worth every cent.

Everything you need for thread repairs except the item you need repaired. Yes, the kit includes all the special cutters to get the job done. And when installed correctly, these inserts are permanent. And even stronger than the originals when installed in aluminum.

This is a very nice three eights he helical, drill, tap, center bore, installation and re-thread kit. It has very strong flanged, thick wall, helicoil inserts those flimsy spring type ones that you see other kits. Definitely nice to have this in my toolbox and ready to go when I run into stripped 3/8 thread issues. Has everything in one small box. I will be getting the 5/16 and 1/4 kit in the near future!

This is a quality kit. Everything is included to repair a stripped out bolt hole. I won’t pretend like I’ve just repaired my car engine, but I have used so many helicoils in the past, and had enough difficulties with them to decide this is my new go-to thread repair. I wish I would have had these when I had to fix M12 threads on my Chinese tractor last year. I would recommend this item to a friend.
