I bought the 16 foot length and it was folded in the or four parts putting bends in 3 to 4 areas that have not come out after a few weeks. When I tried to punch the rubber where one really bad gap was the middle split. I would get my money back but there's no way I'm taking that thing back off and putting another on. It only took about 45 minutes with someone's help, but it was not easy. If you don't feed it perfectly the track starts cutting the grooves.

It turned out really nice. The aluminum is just fine and easy to cut with a hack saw. Make sure you use lube or WD 40 to help with the rubber in the track. I recommend a drill bit to get the hole started as these screws went dull when trying to skip that step, not self tapping.Looks great, aligned great, harder with one person but not too bad.

If you have a hacksaw, big clamp, squirt bottle with detergent in it and some patience, this will be easy.Highly recommend having a couple big clamps to keep the tracks in place while you screw them into the bottom of your door.We didn't use the screws that came with it. We used hex self drilling screws instead to get a better bite. This is being used on the single door and we used 2 whole tracks (3' length) and some of the 3rd track.I'd suggest laying the rubber out in the sun to get it nice and flat. This is packed in a 3' long box with the rubber strip rolled up. Took about about 90 minutes to install. We had to adjust the opener to come down further to fully compress the strip to close the gap we had (uneven floor at the door on one side)All in all: good product, fairly easy to install if you have all your install tools ready: hacksaw, drill, clamps, detergent, quality screws and scissors.

This item comes in a box with the seal folded into 3rds. The track is in 3 pieces. It is best to lay the seal out for a day or so in warm weather for it to resume its shape. I used a wire pulling lube that I had on hand to assist in the installation of the seal into the track. You could also use dishwashing liquid, Just rinse off whatever remains after you finish. This is a good product and I do recommend it as a viable replacement for an old seal. "C" clamps or adjustable clamps will aid you in the installation.

I am happy with the installed mount and seal. I looked at the lower surface of the door before I ordered and saw about 2" wide. Unfortunately, when I removed the existing aluminum mount for the single channel seal, turned out the bottom of my door was stepped making for two different surfaces. I was able to rip 1" wide 3/16" wood strips from an old wood packing box to make for one level surface. Used the end of a leftover tube of Lexel sealant to "glue" the wood strips, then the aluminum rails over them. Then, as suggested in another review, used 3/4" #10 stainless steel self tapping screws. (Bolt Dropper 10 x 3/4" Hex Washer Head Self Drilling Screws | 410 Stainless Steel Self Tapping Tek Screws | No. 3 Point, Plain Finish | 100 pcs Hex Head Self Tapping Screws | Corrosion Resistant). In hindsight, I would use 1" long self tapping screws because you have to somewhat fast to drill before the self tap goes through the thin bottom of the door and it is easy to strip the newly formed threads. I tried to just get the threads made, then tighten with a plastic handled nut driver, but did strip two or three. The longer screws are only needed if you need shims like my wood strips. I left the rubber strip on the basement floor for a few days, some of the folding crimps started to come out. I used the flat tip screw driver method where you firs insert the inside side of the plastic "T", then push the second side in with flat tip blade. At first, I thought it would take forever in agony. But, then I got into the swing of it finding the right position and angle for the blade, and started skipping one or two blade widths and it actually went pretty fast. One review complained about piecing the plastic part by pushing the blade into it. I think the key is if you find that kind of resistance, back off and change the position and/or angle of the blade instead of forcing the blade. Another review complained the door opener no longer worked correctly, but you have to reset the down limit. There are many different procedures for the different openers, so you have review your manual and/or look for a YouTube video for your model. All is well, this was the last step in my garage door overhaul, new spring hinges, new rollers, plastic on the roller shafts, and finally this new seal!

My garage floor is cracked and pushed up in the middle leaving a gap in the door on both ends. This leaves a place for snow, leaves grass clippings etc to blow into my garage. This seal is nice and thick and closes up the gap. The aluminum extrusions hold the seal very solid and the seal itself is very heavy feels like it would last a few years. Overall I am very happy with the product.INSTALLATION NOTES: The aluminum extrusions are about 3ft long so I had to cut the last one to match the length of my door. Not an issue for me but good to note for someone buying the product that you will likely need to cut the aluminum. The screws included with the kit are garbage. I drove one screw and removed it and threw them in the garbage. Do yourself a favor and buy some self tapping screws it will make your install much easier. Pushing the seal into the aluminum extrusion was the hardest part. I was careful to match the ends of the aluminum together and I didn't have any issues there. I installed the seal alone which was fine until I had pushed the seal past the halfway point and it got progressively more difficult from there. By the end I would push the seal walk to the other side and pull it tight then walk back and push the other side making process in 2 inch increments. Having someone to help pull while you push would make this go much faster. Even installing it alone it only took and hour or so. Overall not a difficult install.
