My old weather stripping was falling off and was chewed by rats. I tried to replace the weather stripping only but the track was so bent that the weather stripping wouldn't go in. I needed to replace the track and seal. I wasn't sure if this was going to work but I bought it to give it a try. The 1-1/4 track fit the garage door perfectly. I slide one side of the seal on with help from my wife. It went pretty easy without using any soap and water. On the other side I used a window screen roller to push it in, that was brilliant and easy. Install was faster and easier than expected. The U+O seal is much better than the U style I had on the door previously. I highly recommend getting and using a window screen roller, allot faster and easier than trying to push the seal in with a screwdriver. Fast and easy Install, no problem with screws breaking, didn't even have to pilot hole them. The rubber seal never fell out of the track during install. The seal comes folded but no problem installing, I didn't have to let it sit in the sun. The only problem I had was the last piece of track was 3/8" too long. The install took me about half an hour.

I had an odd track at the bottom of my door that I tried multiple times to find an appropriate fit for. Nothing standard would fit it. Ultimately I gave up and replaced the entire track with this system and I’m glad I did. It is solid. The tracks are an easy installation comes 5 to a 16 foot package. Line them up, painters tape to get it perfect. Hacksaw for any small piece left at the end (I had to cut about an inch off one track piece). Then, silicone them one by one and put it in place along the length. Finally, use the self tapping screws to screw the tracks into place. Word to the wise, you may need a right angle drill attachment for the very ends as they tend to be behind the wall just a little.Only minor complaint about the track portion is the screws were quite long, so they stick up above the bottom lip of my metal door. I will be cutting them shorter now that it’s fully installed and filing off the rough edges. If you have a metal door with only a small amount needed to go through at the bottom you may consider buying some shorter self tapping screws.Tracks took about 30 minutes being careful. Most time consuming part was the rubber into the tracks. I followed the directions to use a screwdriver to pop into place and it’s very solidly in the tracks. This is not difficult but it’s quite time consuming. This part took maybe two hours.Budget 2-3 hours for full installation. You will be happy with the result if done correctly to instructions.Overall I am very happy with the product.

This product was used on a 12 ft roll up garage door. The rails were the easy part. The rubber gasket was quite a different install. It was very difficult to get both inserts to fit at the same time. I got it done and it functions quite well. No water infiltration at all. I purchased 2 more for my other 9 ft garage doors. Very good product.

I've replaced the bottom seal on two doors with this product now and am very happy with it. The aluminum track is cut into shorter sections so it is easier to handle with just one person. Just be very cautious to line up the ends perfectly or the rubber seal will bind when it goes through the joint. I would recommend using better screws. The ones provided are ok if you predrill everything close to the same size as the threads, but are fairly low quality and a bit difficult to work with. Make sure you have a second person to help put the rubber seal in. It can be very difficult to get to slide through the rails, especially on the longer models. Wiping down the edges of the rubber seal with dish soap helps significantly. We had the best luck having one person steadily pull on the end in the track while the other person squeezed the ends of the rubber seal into approximately the right shape to enter the rail. Watch very closely for the edges to slip out and fix it immediately when they do, backing the seal out a bit if needed.

Lumps in the rubber from being folded during shipping. Use a heat gun to get rid of them.
