Hassle-Free Installation
Prep the Door & Apply Double-Sided Tape
Start by making sure the door is wiped clean and dry. with the door closed, place tape across the top and bottom of each door panel.
Trim and Install BlueTex
Use knife included and CUT the double sided tape down the middle between panels. Do not remove paper backing yet. Cut insulation 2-3” wider than the width of the door (typically about 18ft).
Remove top paper off top double sided tape and press pre-cut piece of BlueTex firmly on the tape edge.
Secure the Bottom Edge
Peel tape backing, press onto the bottom strip of tape and on the vertical sides of the panels, moving from one side to the other press firmly to secure the edge.
Open seams & Seal Edges
Use a knife and cut through both layers of the BlueTex and double sided tape on each hinge for the whole door.
Seam all edges of the panels using our 2" or 3" white tape to top/bottom/sides of each panel, allowing half of the tape to be on the BlueTex and the other half on the metal door.

Day 1: Make sure you buy the correct kit for your door. I had more than enough insulation, double sided tape and finishing tape to cover my 16x7 garage door. Installation was easy enough. Took me a few hours after work to make it look nice. I installed same day it was delivered. Will update periodically with results, I live in North Texas so this will be mostly focused on heat insulation.Tapes provided worked great for installation.Knife provided worked fine.Did not use the provided screws,will update review if I do. It's Texas, it's hot, stuff melts but I hope I dont have to make unnecessary holes in my garage door.

Great product, instructions were clear and there was more than enough tape to get the job done (I greatly appreciated that two types of tape were included). The weather just flipped to hot here in Houston and I can tell a big difference vs past years.

My garage door sections were too large and would not allow the tape to work properly. The insulation kept falling off. I went to plan B. Lesson learned is to measure your garage door sections and make sure the insulation you purchase is wide enough to work.

I bought this item to reduce the heat coming thru my metal garage doors. Installation was simple and easy with all the necessary products provided. This product looks great as it made my doors look clean and finished. Before installing, I could place my hand next to the door and feel the heat radiating thru the metal. After installing, I immediately noticed a significant reduction of heat with my hand next to this product. I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend this to anyone looking to reduce the heat thru the garage doors.

The BlueTex Insulation 2 Car Garage Door Insulation Kit is impressively strong and durable. The double-sided tape and edge tape are both high-quality, ensuring a secure fit. I've noticed my garage is noticeably cooler in the afternoon as it faces the sun. Overall great product and keeps my garage significantly cooler in the Texas heat.

Arrived next day. My garage faces west so the sun is brutal and the garage cooks! Installation was easy but it is helpful to have a second person. Application was straight forward and the installation looks nice! I could tell the difference day one of the heat gain in the garage form before. Worth the money and time of installation for sure!A+
