This effective pairing keeps your garage safe and belongings secure.

Due to packaging and shipping, the seal strip may experience slight shape deformation. If this occurs, we recommend using a heat gun to gently soften the seal and help restore its original shape for optimal performance.

Product Description

Garage Door Bottom Weather Stripping Rubber Seal with 5/16 inch T-Ends

Step-by-Step Installation Instructions:

[1] Remove Old Seal: Start by removing any old weatherstripping or seal from the bottom of your garage door.

[2] Identify the Grooves: Identify the grooves in your garage door track where the T-ends of the seal strip will fit.

[3] Insert the Seal Strip: Starting from one end of the door, insert the T-ends of the seal strip into the grooves of the garage door track.

[4] Slide the Seal Strip: Carefully slide the seal strip along the track until you reach the other end of the door. Make sure that the seal strip is aligned properly and sits flush with the track. Tip: Using soapy water or a lubricant during installation can ensure a smoother sliding process and prevent damage to the seal.

[5] Adjust and Trim if Necessary: Once the seal strip is in place, close the garage door and check for any gaps or spaces. If necessary, you can adjust the position of the seal strip or trim it to size using scissors or a utility knife.

[6] Test the Seal: Finally, test the seal strip by running your hand along the bottom of the door to ensure that there are no gaps or spaces.

Note:Due to packaging and shipping, the seal strip may experience slight deformation. To help restore its shape, it is recommended to use a heat gun to gently soften the seal and assist in reshaping it.

By following these simple steps, you can effectively protect your garage from weather, insects, and dust with the Garage Door Bottom Weather Stripping Rubber Seal with T-Ends. This durable and long-lasting rubber material can withstand extreme temperatures, heavy usage, and frequent foot traffic without cracking, tearing, or losing its shape.

The product seems super thick and durable. It went on ok just used some white lithium grease the end was a little rough but expected. When I was done and closed the door and seen some light I pushed up on the rubber and it cracked. Honestly guessing because it’s so cold out and didn’t warm it first so going to get another one and leave it inside until the insulation and then warm the rubber before shutting the door down. Will let you know on round two.

This is the 3rd stripping I put on the bottom of my garage door. The previous ones were not stiff enough and the other had just too much rubber when squeezed it accumulate water when it rained or when snow melted. I have a 16 foot wide door and the length of the stripping was the exact length. Sliding the stripping wasn't the easiest but my wife guided the stripping into the track while I pulled it along. I brushed on some soapy water on the metal track being careful not to get some on the stripping itself, so as to have a good grip to pull it across. This is where you will see how well the rubber is made. The rubber is just the correct thickness to fit into the groove on the bottom of the door and stay in that track. The other crappy ones would bend out of the track and it took hours to try and make stay in place. So the correct stiffness of the rubber, the perfect fit into the track, what would you want more....how about a yellow stripe to try and add some safety as it is not just a black stripe that might just not stand out enough to catch a quick glance before you press that gas pedal. Adjust the door to give the stripping just the correct pressure to get the perfect seal and voila ...rain out . cold out...and heat in

I installed this on my garage door today so I can't comment on how sturdy it is, however, it is made of good quality rubber so it should last a long time. Others have commented it is difficult to install. I installed it myself without any fuss. Just clean the track very well, spray the track from end to end with silicone spray and it slides into the bottom with only a little effort. I just had a new driveway done so had to adjust the garage door opener, now the door doesn't rest on the driveway but just about 1/4 inch above and it's a tight seal without squashing the gasket flat.

These seals fit perfectly and create a tight barrier against dust, dirt, and weather. Installation was quick and easy, and the material feels durable enough to last for years. Great product. Seals like it should. You might have to readjust your garage door after like I did but it's well worth it.

Went on fairly easily. I used my own #8 one inch sheet metal screws for a little extra depth but the supplied ones will work fine. Install the aluminum channels making sure the slots are perfectly aligned. Make up a 1/4 gallon of water mixed with a good amount of DAWN dish soap, apply the solution to the channels first and then to the seal soaking the rubber 8 inches at a time as you slide it into the channel. Have another helper pull and tug on the seal as you squeeze (to align) the seal ends as you push it into the channel. Once installed, cut off the excess. Looks great. I did readjust my door opener travel so that it wouldn’t push down too hard on the new, much thicker seal.

Product is sturdy and well made. Arrived in perfect condition.Several other reviews complained of difficulty installing the product. There were comments a second person would be helpful. I can't dispute that. What really helped having done this myself, is described below. This rubber strip is bent or curled around the inner tube to create a U with the tube on the inside. At the tip ends of the flat rubber U created by curling around are small T shapes. The T holds the rubber in place. The T shape runs the length of the rubber. The T slides into 2 separate grooves or channels on a metal strip which runs along the bottom of the garage door from end to end.Youtube videos said to spray lubricant into the channels through which the rubber T slides. I did that generously. So, one starts the Ts into one end of both channels simultaneously and one continues to feed one end in and pull a little on what you've already fed in. Repeat.Nevertheless, as I fed more rubber through the more difficult it became-quite difficult. It was tedious moving an inch at a time.Fear not. Finally, I decided to try as I worked to continue feeding into the channels to stop and wipe the spray lubricant with my fingers up and down along and on the bottom and top of T about a foot at a time prior as I prepared to push the rubber into the channels. It greatly facilitated the remainder of the install. Game changer.I used Seafoam lubricant. WD-40 or anything similar should work. Hope it helps. I am quite pleased with the product. Great price and quality. Local garage door outfit wanted $50.00 for a product without the inner tube which provides an effective bolster to the seal.

I purchased the 10 Ft seal to replace an old & damage one. The seal comes rolled up, its best to unroll & let it sit in the sun for lil while if possible. The rubber looks to be good quality, its feels sturdy & its easy to cut. It comes with simple instructions. To make the install easy & quick, be sure track is clean & be sure its not bent or damaged. I used soapy water spray bottle to lube the track at the bottom of garage door. To make it even easier, its best to have a 2nd sets of hands. One to feed it on the end & the other to pull it thru. I left approximately 1 inch longer than the door on each side. That will change depending on your door set up. Also, you may have to adjust you door closing limit if necessary due to new seal requires a lil more space at the bottom. (old one was flat & damaged)This sealed up the lower end gaps very nicely

Worked great for our garage simple to install and trim off extra. I installed it myself and took about an hour to install. Couple tips I can give you : I prefer using PB Blast lubricant, and sprayed the track as I went and had no issues. 2nd keep your garage door at a height that you can slide your new seal in instead of reaching above your head trying to slide it through. If you don’t use any type of lubricant, you’re going to have a really hard time sliding it through. After applying the lubricant I would slide as much as could from the end that I started then walk to the end of the seal and pull it as far as I could. Spray again a couple feet go to where you started and feed some more down the track then again walk to the other side and pull. Keep doing this until you reach the end. Worked for me doing it this way and again only took me about an hour for a 16 foot garage door. I had about 4” of extra material that I cut off. Hope this help you out!
