I really like these straps. We have to transport our trashcans 750 feet, to the bottom of our drive, for weekly pickup. The easiest way for us (short and older ladies) to get them into the truck bed is to tip them backwards, lift the bottom, and slide them in. This is a package of two straps, which can be easily adjusted in length. They are 2 inches wide with heavy duty, rubber covered, hooks on each end. I keep one at a length to fit the regular trashcan and the other to fit the recycling and/or green waste. While they can attach to the cans either direction (see photos), I find it easier and quicker to strap across the width. These are so easy to use and, best of all, you don't need to drill any holes in the can (as some other types require). They are definitely strong enough to prevent wildlife from getting into the can as well. I highly recommend them over other options. I'm actually planning to purchase another set to use as short tie-downs when I need to move heavier items on my rolling cart and bungee cords just won't cut it.

This product comes with 2 straps and you only need 1 strap per can. The elastic band is heavy duty, wide, & feels like it’ll last a few years, if taken care of. The band is also easy to adjust for the desired fit. The hooks are a heavy duty metal & has a coating to prevent damage. I preferred this product over others because it didn’t require me to drill any holes into city property & I appreciate the simple design. Most definitely recommend for anyone living in windy areas & anyone with a critter problem. Saves me and my kids from having to run around our yard picking up trash after a wind storm.

I am very happy with these straps. They worked on our garbage cans right out of the box without even having to make any adjustments. They are so easy to take on and off and I love that they have enough stretch to hold them on tightly, but not so much that they snap back at you when you remove them. We don't have problems with animals in our trash, but we do transport our cans to the transfer station once a month and these hold very tightly.

Exactly what I needed, and no drilling required. These adjusted easily - I did it in the dark, during an ice storm without issue.The hooks are metal (steel, feels like, as they're quite heavy and strong) covered in some kind of rubberized coating. I like that because it won't scratch up your can if that's a concern, but mostly because it helps keeps them quiet when they might otherwise be clanging together. If you're noise sensitive or have to take your trash out late at night, you and your neighbors will appreciate that.These straps are wide and strong, with just enough stretch to ensure a tight fit. There's plenty of length to accommodate different sizes of cans, and you may only need one per can if you've got two. I put both on one because I've only got the one can, and VERY aggressive raccoons. Plus I wanted to check for any differences that might affect longevity, and I see none.If you're looking to secure a roll-out residential garage bin like what's standard in the American Midwest, this is all you need. If it holds up, and I can't see why it wouldn't, then it's perfect.

These garbage lid straps work as advertised. very strong and adjustable. The hooks fit perfectly onto the lips of the garbage can easily securing the lid. Very well made. Keeps the lid from opening when I need it secure outside to keep out pests or stop the wind from blowing open the lid.

I used these straps to secure the top of my compost bin. They work great! They are incredibly simple, two metal hooks that will latch to the lip of your trash can, attached with a durable strap that is easy to tighten and loosen as needed. Overall, they will work great to keep pests out of my bin and hold up to the harsh summer climate I live in.

I have this exact type of trash can strap-lock from 3 different manufacturers. This is great because it has the very sturdy, metal covered with grippy material 'claw' on both ends - so no need to drill into your trash can nor replace periodically (often if it rains/snows alot) a stick on type fastener. Of course you need to measure to be sure this will extend to the length you need, and that there is something for a claw type half circle to attach to on the top or back of your trash can, as well as on the front. Recommended.
