For the actual unit I received:#1. The HDMI output did NOT work at all! NO picture.#2. The sound output was terrible, kept “stuttering”. Unlistenable.Your results may vary. But I wouldn’t count on it!Purchased different unit, $10 more but it WORKS.Technical Hint: Compare the pictures, if they look identical, (check: inputs, outputs, power, etc, general configuration) then they come from the same factory. No matter what the Name. Also look at the associated advertising pictures. Look the same? Same product!

so far so good. audio is clean and staic/noise free, case is metal and has some weight, connections are easy. originally, used a 5v USB wall adaptor for power. i decided to experiment with the operation of the unit. i was going to use the switched 120v from my stereo head unit. i discovered that the Audio Extractor works without the 5v power input. i bevieve the HDMI is supplying power to the unit when feeding through, but not sure, it still works. i never give a 5 star but this came close. we'll see after a few months of use.

I needed to split the audio coming out of a Raspberry Pi's HDMI output so that I could sync a TV (Digital Sign) playing Pisignage to the TV and some nearby speakers to welcome guests. The Pisignage has both a HDMI output and a AUX output but they both do not work at the same time. The HDMI Audio Extractor did exactly what I needed. Plus, the HDMI cable is powering it, so I don't even have to use the supplied power cable.

I had gotten this for my son for his Xbox series S. It works great. Now he can run a monitor and utilize his Xbox to play games or watch movies. The product was easy to install and been installed for over a month. No issues.

The audio on my large HD TV went out. I had already been diverting the audio signal from the TV to an external receiver. This device dropped in and provided an audio signal that was not visibly lagged, without compromising the video quality of the HDMI signal.

I use this HDMI Audio Extractor to extract an audio signal from both 1080p and 4K HDMI sources and feed that audio signal to a sound bar and headphones. The sound quality is excellent from all HDMI sources. The one complaint I have is the RCA plug adaptor. The extractor box has a stereo headphone plug whereas I need an RCA audio output. The audio extractor comes with a stereo-to-RCA adaptor with male RCA plugs, designed to be plugged directly into an audio receiver. The problem is that the adaptor wiring is quite short, not long enough to reach another device. Fortunately I had a pair of RCA wires that had female plugs on one end to extend the wire to the audio receiver, but these are not that common.

I had the same problem as the Amazon Customer on Jan 12, 2022. He wrote: We have a new tv that has hdmi arc output, but no analog audio output. I have a moderately nice old school sound system that has no modern inputs, just RCA connectors. I connected this to the hdmi arc jack on the tv and to the RCA jacks using the included 3.5mm to RCA cord but I get no sound. The power light is on, but the signal light does not illuminate. I did go to the tv settings to specify that the sound should go to the hdmi arc.Exact same problem and I also plugged the HDMI from my cable provider into the adapter and still no sound and no signal light. Amazon is exchanging it for a new one - hope this one works.

I connected it to between my blu-ray player and 24 inch computer monitor. I plugged a sound bar to the aux port. It worked well. I had to use two HDMI cables. It won't work without a 5v power source. I bought a second one to use with another monitor.

I used this with a Media player that had HDMI out and I needed to get the audio to a separate speaker. Worked great and easy to use.
