I wanted this to convert the S/PDIF output of my Numark TTX1 turntable to optical TOSLINK so I could transmit digital signal to my SoundBlaster Z SE soundcard for recording without possibility of analog noise from the computer. Simple, small and totally effective. Previous link solution DAC through RCA input introduced lip sync delay problem. Toslink to Coax solves problem ….. and it comes with necessary cables. Great price too.

Does what it says on the tin. I wanted to free up my ADAT inputs on my interface (seems a waste to only use light pipe for 2ch audio) and this did the trick! No noticeable degradation in sound quality, but it was surprisingly difficult to find anything else to compare it with. I usually go for higher-tier gear when it comes to sound, but since this is handling chromecast and Bluetooth signals, we're already band-limiting.
