As far as I can tell the ark box has never worked . I had to stop trying to get it to work because I had hip surgery. I have been trying different amps to see if it would work,,but no it not working. Because waited so long I feel I'm stuck with it .

Loved the easy setup. So simple. Works on my smart TV, so now I can watch/listen to TV, YouTube, Netflix, etc. late at night without disturbing anyone. The product has a small footprint, and I have been taking it with me on vacations. All you need is a TV that has both an HDMI plug and a 3.5 mm plug.

I needed an apparatus to be able to hook up my Vizio TV screen to my receiver so I could use my speakers. My receiver only had RCA connections and no HDMI connection so I needed this adapter which was easy to hook up and works beautifully. The price was great compared to the $179 one recommended by on-line help at an electronics company. A bonus is this one doesn't have to be plugged into a wall electrical outlet but hooks up to my TV for power which is what I wanted. I have had it hooked up for a couple of weeks so I can't comment on longevity.

Well it works!I’ve returned 2 similar units, so I’m pretty happy at this point.I have a brand new 2024 Samsung TV, and as is becoming the trend, it has no optical port, only HDMI ARC.I also have a Sonos sound bar with no HDMI, only optical. I initially ordered a Sonos optical to HDMI adapter only to find it doesn’t work for this purpose. Neither does a standard HDMI to optical adapter. I have talked to Samsung, Sonos and my TV cable tech support. None took ownership. So after trial and error, lots of online research, I learned it MUST be an HDMI ARC to optical adapter.Just got it today. Easy and self explanatory to connect. Hooked it all up and was initially frustrated when I powered everything up, attempted to pair everything and nothing? Then, while still powered up, I simply unplugged the HDMI cable from the new adapter, plugged it back in with TV and sound bar still on, and for whatever reason, presto, everything worked!Sonos sound bar (Ray) is connected to tv via adapter and paired to cable box remote which in turn is paired to tv. So one remote does it all, just as it should.Nowhere online could I find a single source to sort this out. So I hope this review is useful to those finding themselves in a similar predicament.I have it given it only 4 stars out of an abundance of caution based on my previous experience.I will update this to ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ once I exceed 30 or more days of continued success.

Easy install. Works great. I was using my headphone jack from my stereo to my Ruko tv but for some reason it stopped working. The headphone jack in the tv was defective. So I purchased this adapter plugged it in and instant stereo! Now be aware that the HDMI cable is not included so that a extra expense. So when you purchase this unit make sure you purchase the HDMI cable also. Plus make sure your tv has a arc port. Now with that being said the headphone jack is the cheapest and easiest way to go. Just get a cord that plugs into your RCA jacks and the other end will plug into your tv headphone jack. You can do that for under 10 bucks. But this product works great but it's going to cost around 35 bucks when all is done. I do recommend this product.

I needed a solution to have my new TV play through the old audio receiver. This was a perfect solution. Sound is better than the old coax I had feeding the system. Super happy with the product and it was easy to set up.

Funciono mucho para una pantalla Samsung que tiene entrada hdmi y no óptica ya que tengo una barra de sonido con entrada óptica. Lo conecte y por si sola me lo detecto.

I got this because I am using powered monitors for TV audio in my bedroom. Normally you would use an audio interface on a desk to adjust the volume, but since I'm using it with a TV I need to be able to control the volume with a remote. I only want to use one remote with my TV, so either a fire stick or roku remote with volume control. This device comes into play because it plugs into the ARC port, which allows the TV to send a volume control signal to it. The adapter has RCA L/R as well as a headphone jack that can be controlled via the volume control on a TV remote over ARC. Note that SPDIF (optical) only carries a digital signal and is not controllable via TV volume output.Testing this device with an LG TV using a fire stick input on HDMI 1 and a short HDMI cable connected to HDMI 2 (ARC) connected to the audio extractor seems to work as expected. Adjusting the volume on the LG remote sends a signal to the audio extractor and changes the volume output on both the RCA and headphone jack. I'm using RCA to connect my powered monitors. Another use case can be to connect the RCA outputs to a small amplifier and use that to power a set of bookshelf speakers. Both setups allow for a full wall mounted setup with no receiver needed, perfect for a bedroom with limited space. My main problem with this device and the reason for 4 stars is that you cannot use a low quality USB power adapter. I tried all my phone chargers, usb chargers, and even power banks. Since there is an amplifier creating the RCA and headphone output, it uses the 5V input to power itself. The internal power supply is very poor at filtering, so you can actually hear the internal switching of low quality USB chargers. I ended up using the USB output of my TV to power it, but I would much rather be able to control it via 120V. So keep in mind that if you can plug in headphones and hear static or other noises with no HDMI connection, you will need a different source of power. And just because a charger is high quality doesn't mean that it is a clean 5V for powering audio devices.

I bought a new Samsung TV and if did not have an analog audio output in RCA or 3.5 mm Headphone jack like my 5 year old LG TV that now moved to the bedroom. I know what a Sony Philips Digital Inter-Face is SPDIF is and used the optical audio output for the TV in my training room. I have a receiver in my living room that was a gift from my sister and besides not having the modern inputs like today's equipment, it works well. I did not know what an Audio Return Channel was but you read a little and I bought the ARC adapter right away. After it arrived I hooked it up and it did not work but for some static. Figures!!! After looking at the box it said you should use the PCM modulation setting and cannot be used with Dolby. Went into the TV setting and changed it. I turned the volume down on my receiver and turned it on having the output connected to the RCA inputs on the back in the channel that said TV input. I turned my volume up to 30% and then used the TV volume on the remote to regulate the volume. I noticed that there was an audio delay where people speak and is not in sync with the video. The TV lets you adjust that as well, which you can do while looking at the TV. Now it is set up correctly. I have OTA (over the air TV) and the sound is very good.
