Replaced my stock 4l60e transmission cooler for another one. The other one failed after 6 months, so I decided to go with Hayden. Hayden products have been around forever it seems, all my buddies suggested this one when the other failed. Super simple install and definitely keeps the fluid cooler

Wonderful product, used it on my 2012 altima known for overheating transmission issues, definitely helped. I could feel the amount of heat on the cooler, and verified actual temperature drop with snapon scantool. It dropped the temp by 15 degrees F stopped at operating temperature, and it lowered around 20-25 F at steady 70mph. I mounted it on the very front of my AC condenser for most air flow.

I have had transmission problems due to over heating for a while now, and found this as a potential solution. I installed it in series so the fluid hot the factory cooler then this one, and when they say up to 60 degrees cooler, BELIEVE IT. The inlet was hot to the touch, but the return line to the transmission was cool enough that I could hold it. Before, i could only drive about 45 miles before it over heated. After install, it made it a 386 mile drive with only gas stops. The brass 3/8 hose barb fittings included in the kit worked for my set up and I only needed one more to complete the set up. Found it at harbor freight. This was installed on a 2008 jeep patriot sport w/ a CVT transmission. Highly recommend this!

UPDATE, June 17, 2022: I’ve received the replacement cooler fairly quick and today I’m hoping to install it on my vehicle.Although it appears the cooler is overall very well made I was so frustrated and upset to find out there are two deep cuts on one of the u-turn bends (pictured) when I was ready and very eager to install it on my vehicle today. When I first noticed them I thought they were only superficial scrapes - mere corrosion resistance coating scrapes, however, upon close examination it was very clear that they were deep, especially one. Though the cuts aren’t all the way through, it’s not difficult to imagine should you install this on your vehicle the thinned cross-sections at the cuts when subjected to high pressures and temperatures of the transmission fluid as well as gradual corrosion that further thins the the thickness, the cuts would more likely leak eventually leading to significant transmission fluid loss and subsequently putting you at a greatest risk of ruining your automatic transmission and subjecting you to all the huge expenses as well as all the inconveniences that comes with it.I’m surprised how this passed Hayden’s quality control inspections at the factory, or don’t they have one? Therefore, do your due diligence in inspecting the cooler for defects before you go ahead and install it on your vehicle. Also, due to it not being packaged properly two sets of fitting adapters in their small plastic bag move around the box bending the very thin/delicate aluminum fins. Though those bends can be straightened with little effort and patience, all that trouble can be avoided if Hayden implements a better packaging practice.I’m returning this defective one to get a replacement. 3 stars I gave it is solely because of poor QC and defects discovered, otherwise the product seems to deserve 5-stars.

I originally bought one of these for my 02 Toyota Sequoia limited. When towing my pontoon boat up hills in July I would get the blinking A/T transmission light and the truck would go into limp mode. So basically stranded on the side of the road until it cooled off. I slapped one of these on, this thing was at least twice the size of the OEM transmission cooler, and never had that issue again. I just bought a 2011 Honda Ridgeline on Monday and the 1st thing I did was order one of these. Not even going to risk it. Slapping on one of these before I need to tow in the summer. If you do ANY towing just buy one. It will save you down time. There is nothing worse than being stuck on the side of the road due to over heated or a broke transmission due to over heating.

This aftermarket item was installed on a Toyota Settings 2008. I added it in front of the Condensor coil. I had to drill two 5/8" holes in part of the frame for the hoses to connect back to the transmission return line splices. Just remember to connect the hoses prior to adding the zip ties. All in all it works fine. I added it because I added a tow hitch to the minivan.

Installed on a 2007 Suburban with 5.3L engine, and 4L60e transmission. Quick installation, and it made a huge difference! I should have installed this years ago. My tranny used to run at about 180-200 degrees, depending on outside temps, and speeds. If I was towing a trailer, and/or traveling at 80mph on highways with hill it would usually creep up to 215 or so, which always made me nervous. Since installing this cooler I have yet to see it go above 140! I’ll be towing a heavy camper late next week, and that’ll be the big test, but I’m pretty confident it’ll stay well below 200 for ever now. Great product!!!As a tip- the threaded connector it comes with does not fit the Chevy radiator. I used a Harf line cutter and a beveler to splice into the metal hard line, and create a beveled end to prevent leakage. Also- the kit comes with 4 feet of hose, which would not have been enough for my install unless I had curved the hose in a smaller arc than recommended. Go to the auto parts store and get amother 3 or 4 feet of 3/4 inch hose. Mine required about 3 feet for both in and out feeds.
