Very good! Every couple of years I try to connect cable to the computer. The technology finally seems to have reached the level I was looking for. Previous devices worked at some level but weren’t always reliable, and just as importantly the software never seemed to do what it was supposed to do. (The last one I tried would never find all the channels. It would usually find over half of them, so you had to scan and hope it found most of your favorite channels, which is unacceptable.)So far so good with this device and software! The device gets warm, but all video capture devices do. I’m using with unscrambled qam signals. It lets me label the channels with whatever names I want. And you can move the channels up and down the list as well! Put them in any order, or move all your favorites to the top of the list.On-screen controls (not external hardware box) so I can change the channels and adjust the volume by remoting into the computer (don’t have to be physically there). Previous device I used needed some device (like an old vcr) to take the coax from the wall and turn it into RCA component connectors, so I couldn't change the cannel unless I was in the same room. It has an ir remote so you can control it in person too. And also has picture in picture! I have not used it for over-the-air signals, but I strongly suspect it would be great for those signals too.I hadn’t planned on recording shows with it, but file size seems to be about 70MB per minute. It can automatically convert to MPG which seems to save a few MB per minute. The first recording had static for the sound, but every other test recording has been flawless. With a little patience, I could use my phone to remote into my computer, then open the software, change the channel, and schedule a recording. No excuse for missing a show now!I’ve only had it up and running for a couple of days, but so far this device and the great software has done everything I wanted it to do, and more.

It pulled in digital terrestrial stations perfectly when my Samsung 65" TV could not even find them. I Downloaded Win Tv 10 operating system, which includes a signal analyzer, and a TV listing guide for all the stations the tuner was able to receive. It programs delayed recordings just by clicking on the desired programs. This USB device has two tuners and I was able to record two programs from different channels to my hard drive simultaneously.I have a rotor on my roof-top antenna. I used the two included signal monitor tuners to find the optimum direction for the strongest signals.Great product!

I wanted to receive off-air TV on my laptop and chose this product because of the reviews and because I like the dual tuner capability, i.e. to receive two channels at once. It is a little disappointing to be a USB 2.0 connection however in the USA there does not appear to be many alternatives to this product with extensive reviews and it is because of the reviews I made the final decision to purchase this product. Fortunately, so far it has lived up to its reviews and its advertised tech specs and operational ability. It installed easily enough although the remote control is somewhat flaky with a delay that takes getting used to but seems to work. The little antenna did as well as the leaf antenna hooked up to a Vizio TV sitting right next to the laptop at the same time. I put ABC on the TV and CBS and NBC on the laptop and watched all three at once and then disconnected this item and packed for travel. I did not try any recording nor go deeper to check out the software and program guide features. Reception is what I am interested in and so I did attach the leaf antenna from the TV to the unit and saw it made no reception difference better than the included little antenna and that is good enough for me. I am running this on a Lenovo T460 quad core i7-6600U CPU w 16gb RAM 64-bit win 10 pro OS.

Tuner works very well. Easy to setup. Been working every day since I got it over a year ago. No complaints.Comes with included PC PVR software that works with the Titan TV website. Also works with Next PVR standalone. Have used it with Kodi media player. An area for improvement for Hauppauge would be to give more thought to how the EPG could work. I have had other add-on tuners that deliver the show details for the channel being watched plus a several hours into the future. This device seems to do that on some channels and not on other channels, all this while other devices deliver this data all the time (and no the suggestion is not impacted by the underlying TV station practices).

I have been using a HTPC for years now, but I have always had Avast Tuners because they cost less. They still deliver HD and seem to work just fine. I bought a HAUPPAUGE tuner for my Xbox-One, which I highly recommend, and noticed immediately that the quality was better, and I received more channels even on the little tiny included antenna. So I decided to buy this tuner for my computer to see if I would get a better signal on a few channels that had been dropping out. Not only did I get stronger reception on those channels, but a few channels that never scanned at all on my other tuners now came in.I still use WMC as my primary means of scheduling and recording, and it works great with these tuners. The included software however was a big plus for me because of the ability to have two side by side streams. This is an excellent way to watch sports. I will say however that having two channels running in 1080 display on the screen at the same time side by side is fairly taxing on your CPU but I never saw any lag issues. I may buy another because having two of these as 4 tuners is much easier and less clutter than having 4 individual tuners.** For anyone who has never owned something like this **This is a simple USB adaptive tuner for your computer. You install it and it allows you to watch and record local over the air (OTA) programming. This generally includes CBS, Fox, NBC, ABC, CW, PBS and whatever other local stations you may receive.Almost all versions of Windows prior to windows 10 included Windows Media Center which is a program that allows people to watch, record and schedule recordings of shows. If you have a new computer that no longer includes this software this tuner includes a software key to install Hauppague's own software for watching and recording shows. It's not quite as nice or easy to use visually, but it works just fine. (The major distinction is that WMC was designed to work on a TV and with a remote, while WinTv is a legacy software program designed for use with a mouse and keyboard)This is a dual tuner which means you can watch two channels at the same time, or watch one and record another, or record two channels at a time. There is a small antenna included in the box which will work if you live in an urban area. For the best reception however use a larger antenna like the Mohu leaf (or any other decent antenna).Final note, if you are recording shows in HD (as almost everything is now) you will need a very large amount of space. I don't know the file sizes for the included WinTv software, but the files for WMC are on average 2-3 gigs for a 30 minute show. A 3-4 hour football game will take up between 20-25 gigs of space. It will almost be essential to have an additional hard drive dedicated to recordings. Of course this depends on how much you want to record and keep.
