Es medio complicado hacer que funcione, pero una vez q funciona es una maravilla, incluso pude hacer que funcione en celulares y el carro. Pero si es medio complicado.

Hooked it into an older computer with windows 10 Using one of those square antennas and it worked. They could do a better job with the instructions to explain the process of recording, how to end the recording, and finding it on your computer.

Es de los pocos sintonizadores para ver TV abierta local sin internet, que funciona en la Nvidia Shield.Escenario de uso: Mi pantalla es una TCL 65", pero por el setup que tengo (soundbar Dolby Atmos para reproducir el audio Atmos y no Atmos). La TV solo la tengo como monitor de video (por el setup que tengo, me conviene NO conectar la barra a la entrada ARC de la TV), y por lo anterior, para ver TV normal en la pantalla, tenía que cambiar el cable HDMI a la entrada ARC, y al querer ver o escuchar de nuevo contenido desde la Shield, volver a conectar a una entrada no-ARC, y ya con este sintonizador, no tengo que estar cambiando las conexiones HDMI...En fin; en ese escenario (controlar y reproducir TODO desde la Nvidia Shield), el sintonizador usb Mygica A681B (versión apta para México, EUA) hace una labor decente. Eso sí, este setup requiere forzosamente la instalación de la app "FTA Tuner Loader" (sideload), para que el sintonizador se pueda configurar y que sea reconocido por el reproductor de TV del la caja Android TV. Aparte, como reproductor de TV en la Shield, se contaba con Google Live Channels, pero al estar descontinuada esa app, hay otra funcional en Playastore llamada "Mochi Live TV" que hace los mismo que Live Channels.Lo que me gusta: Una vez teniendo las apps necesarias, es muy sencillo su uso. Para la Shield, recomiendo una pequeña extensión USB; y por supuesto, que el usb tuner Mygica A681B, funciona con la Nvidia Shield.Lo que no me gusta: La pequeña antena que trae, es una verdadera vacilada, es lo mismo que ponerle un trozo de alambre. La sensibilidad del sintonizador Mygica es ligeramente menor que el de mi tv TCL, la cual en varias pruebas y con otra antena ligeramente mejor, captó los 9 canales disponibles en mi zona, mientras que con el Mygica, solo 8La señal de video del sintonizador Mygica, no es compatible con el escalamiento "IA Mejorado" a 4K de la Nvidia Shield, pero aún así sin escalado, la calidad es bastante decente. A pesar de las desventajas mencionadas, con las apps necesarias y una buena antena, estou bastante conforme con este sintonizador usb para TV abierta en mi android TV box.Tip: El sintonizador para TV abierta sin internet Mygica A681B, solo funciona el el puerto USB que está pegado a la salida HDMI de la Nvidia Shield.

Hay que realizar varios intentos para que reconozca los drivers del sintonizador, pero al final de cuentas si logré hacerlo funcionar y la grabacion tambien funciona correctamente. La pequeña antena que viene en la caja no tiene mucha recepcion o es nula, hay que utilizar una antena aerea fija. No me gusta que solo sea compatible con WIn10.

I have a cheap QAM tuner setup to receive the clearQAM signal from my university. The tuner has worked perfectly for years. I bought this tuner due to its advertised support of ClearQAM. After several attempts to scan for channels utilizing the existing feed from my tuner, I would get no results. I went through all of the troubleshooting steps in the documentation as well as a few additional steps and still got nothing. I reached out to the company's support line and after over a week of waiting still got no help. It's getting returned. So if you have ATSC you might get lucky with this and get a good open-box deal on an essentially unused tuner.

At first I tried the antenna it came with, couldn't watch channel 2 with it though. My TV can pick it up just fine using a different antenna, so I connected that antenna to this device and still couldn't watch channel 2. Then I tried editing the config files, which seemed to allow me to find more channels, but I still couldn't watch channel 2. Channel 2 was listed in the channel directory, but I couldn't watch it.

This is a great option if you are running a projector with a computer, and what to get local channels over the air, and don’t want to pay for a streaming package that gives you your local channels.It is very easy to setup and use, and with the software your computer becomes a DVR.The unit picked up about 35 channels. I was hoping for a few more channels, but it does get me NBC, CBS, FOX, and ABC which are the most important, so I can get football games.

I bought this so I could watch news coverage on my laptop the next time a hurricane cuts our power off like it did last week. When I tried to download the necessary drivers, a pop up showed that Windows 11blocked the installation. I read on other reviews that when people upgraded from Windows 10 to 11 that it quit working. I thought it might work if loaded on Windows 11 in the first place, but no. Tried to contact customer service through Chat, but message said no one available, leave email and message and I would be contacted. No answer after 24 hours. Returned it today. Great potential, just needs to be made compatible with Windows 11 initially without having to do major work-arounds.

Got tired of paying so much money for cable tv when i spend most of the time streaming or local channels.Used the antenna below and installed it in my attic.GE Outdoor HD Digital TV Antenna, Long Range Smart TV Antenna, Supports 4K 1080P HD Smart TV VHF UHF, J Mount Included for Attic or Outdoor, Weather ResistantJust aimed it down town and plugged it into this little TV dongle and now i have all 80 local stations i can watch while i am on my pc. works great for the price.Cons: software support could be better. No program guide for all channels.....only EPG for individual stations. Work around is just google what is on local channels in your area and you will find what you wantUpdate: 3/21/24 I upgraded from windows 10 to windows 11 and it breaks the app making this thing useless. Window 11 also flags the driver as a security risk
