I dipped these in gas or diesel and swabbed grime from injector and spark plug bores. Great tool for that, and solid price. Careful, sometimes they break unexpectedly.

I have found these cotton swabs to be excellent for cleaning guns. Their priced fairly and stand up nicely to the chemicals used in maintaining guns

Excellent swabs, but the wood shafts break very easily and I end up throwing away many of them before the cotton has absorbed whatever I have been cleaning. I am looking for a similar assortment with slightly stronger wood shafts

These cotton swabs are so handy they have become one of my top ten products I adore. Sure you can use them for body maintenance but they do so much more. I have used them when detailing my car, applied paint with them & cleaned countless hard to reach areas of my home. I like that they come in a variety pack & find uses for all sizes.

I bought these after visiting a friend who used these for cleaning his firearms. I have been a long time user of q-tips for getting into slide grooves etc. on my firearms but they have severe limitations because of their length outside of that. These come in several different lengths and diameters will easily reach into the chamber and barrel areas and the material stays pretty much in place while using them. These are definitely a permanent addition to my cleaning kit and they are priced much lower than their competitors product.

This is a crazy assortment of sizes. Some are huge! The picture doesn't give you a real idea of the sizes. I bought them to clean my Bloodhound's ears and some of them work well, others are too small or to large. But it is easy to find other uses for them like hobbies or cleaning.
